Esso - Airdrie

Bank card did not work at the island again. Will be for the last time, once too often!!!

Normally I quite like Esso as it is reliable and you know what you are going to get.. but i am so sick of the pay at the pump not working for no apparent reason. It is 2019.. how is basic technology functional 30% of the time? Nobody in the store has any idea why they dont work either..

Always was using this one but recently their pumps stopped processing PC points, and every time when I want to get a gas I’m forced to go inside to see a cashier for assistance. What a waste of time! Why even advertise this program when your hard-/ software cannot support it?!! Marketing trick?! You know that it’s not legal, right? I am going to find another convenient place for my car needs. This place is a joke.

I don't expect an exceptional customer care at the gas station, I mean it's a gas station. You just go, buy, pay and leave but to have a nice and friendly behaviour always leave a good impression. Last night I wanted to buy the fuel and a quick car wash. The idea was to pay the gas at the pump and pay the car wash with my Esso Prepaid car wash gift card. After paying for the gas at the pump I went in and tried to buy the quick car wash. First thing the attendant named Casey mentioned that the Quick wash doesn't wash the sides of the car. I am like are you sure? She repeatedly said the Quick car wash doesn't wash the sides of the car. Looks like she wanted to up sell me to the premium wash but her statement doesn't make any sense as she explained that the quick car wash only washes the top of your car and doesn't do the sides which is hard to believe and a stupid statement. Upon questioning more on this she just said "Sir, please don't argue as I know better" Anyway, I decided to get the premium wash and I said I need to pay with my Prepaid car wash card. She charged me the car wash without fuel which is little extra. I asked why are you charging me extra when I already paid for my gas at the pump? I just want to pay with prepaid car wash card for the wash. She started arguing that I am not buying the gas in this transaction so the charge for car wash has to be higher (without gas). I am like I already paid for the gas at the pump just charge me the lower amount for the car wash because I want to pay with my prepaid car wash card. She started to behave rude and asked me to leave the store as she didn't want to argue with me. I just simply noted her name and left. She was so rude and disrespectful that she didn't even bother to understand the problem and there was no other customers waiting in the line so she might have an excuse that she have to help the next customer. I was really upset with the negative behavior and rudeness. Doesn't bother me anymore but definitely not going to this location again for my car washes and gas.

Cheapest station around the area! Good touchless wash here as well. Good size station and friendly staff

Why do you guys have to force people to go inside to pay for gas “ see Cashiers “ to pay ??? So bad and so inconvenient! Every time I stopped by to fill gas in the evening and It didn’t let me do prepaid with my credit card!

Fix up here but the gas price is far higher than other Esso gas stations in Airdrie and Calgary.
