I'm still giving this 2 stars because it's typically been a good station, but I've been struggling with Esso ever since signing up for Esso Extras and this station's played a large part in that. After failing to talk to anyone knowledgeable at the Carey Rd. station on a Saturday, I attempted to get gas using Esso Extra points at this Jacklin Rd. station on a Sunday. The fellow there seemed to know a little more about what he was doing at first - I asked to buy gas using Esso Extra points and he showed me a sheet of options. I said I don't really know which of the options was best, but I supposed I'd go for $80 of gas (thinking that the remainder would just end up back on my card.) I went and filled up my car (around 50L) and then the pump said "See cashier for change". That seemed odd - how do you get change for points? I asked the cashier what I needed to do and he said don't worry about it, the credits will go back on your card automatically. I left and got in my car but immediately felt like I needed some confirmation. I went back in and asked if there was a receipt or something to show that my points were returned to my card, at which point he said something I didn't understand, punched the difference into his keypad and asked me to swipe my card. I thought that was strange - if I had just left a moment before, would I have lost my points? I had to swipe my card now? As soon as I got home I tried to log into my Esso Extras account online to verify my balance, but I found that I was locked out of it. After many days trying to get ahold of somebody who could help me with that, I was informed that my account had been put on hold due to fraud suspicion because I transferred a large number of RBC points to Esso Extra. I was also able to check with the lady I spoke with about my points balance and she let me know that my concerns about my balance were valid; I had been incorrectly charged for 13500 points when I should have been charged for 8500. So clearly whatever the cashier had done did not apply my points back onto my card. It's been a crazy amount of running around and following up just to try to make sure I'm not getting ripped off. I would advise anyone to stay away from the Esso Extra points program if you don't want to deal with this hassle, and if you do want to use Esso Extra at this location just be really careful you don't take everything they say at face value. I don't know what they're doing for training over there.

Here's my negative review of the Esso on Jacklin Road. Don't run out of gas in Langford or by Westshore. As it is simple extortion and or highway robbery. service stations used to offer their customers a Jerry can in the event that they run out of fuel. But now if you run out of gas they will only sell you a Jerry can. An item worth a third of the amount of the charging. Whatever happened to customer service

Had a bad visit( ended up slipping and falling.....hurting myself) attendant didn't do or say anything...the only reason I would ever go back is the name she's a favorite worker from another store......but not impressed with the others!!

Not sure why there are so many people giving this place bad reviews due to interactions with the staff. Get a credit card and your life is easier, no staff to deal with and you are on your way again. Never had a problem here, just gas and go.

It's a gas station drove in but my card into the machine did my banking thing filled up with gas and left not much more than that to say it was no lineup and I didn't have to go inside so hey

After getting has here, my truck got faster, bigger, stronger, and even shinier.

Absolutely the best Gas station on earth. The manager Patsy is always a peach to talk to and friendly. Lowest gas prices and quick service inside. If you want a Gas station to make you main station this is the one. It's like the show "Cheers" where they know your name and remember your most often purchased products as well make you feel welcome.

Staff was very friendly and I was very excited that they use the optimum points card with their transactions!
