★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Watch out for their shady "rental" equipment service. They charge me $35 monthly for a 13 year old "water heater rental" on my enbridge bill, after I purchased a home recently. I called (6 times!) and asked to cancel and buy out the equipment (which should be barely 100-200$ now), they said I don't have any account with them. They finally sent a tech home to verify, (case no: 32394xxx) and still refused to either allow a cancel and buyout, or to confirm my account info and give me a copy of the contract. Had to really fight it out, still waiting for final buyout charge and written email confirmation.
I have tried their other services - installing new furnace, repairing a furnace, etc, most of those are decent and quick.
But they're probably "renting" to many existing home owners, a water heater (costs 929$ at homedepot), then will charge us $35x12 months x 15-20 years = $5000-$8400. They do promise emergency & "unlimited" maintenance (you still pay for major issues by the way) and a good water heater seldom requires maintenance. So this particular service is essentially legal robbery.
