★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited my sister recently in North Bay where she now lives at he Empire Hotel Living Center. It is not a Hotel. It used to be a hotel and the décor is lovely with its high ceiling, soft paint colours and architecture. My sister was impressed by the attentive staff that is always available. Music and entertainment are the norm plus a smooth elevator that has a speaker system that calls out the floors. In the center of the city near businesses, banks stores and the like. The price will surprise you but with a medical staff always available, a staff that checks that you are always OK, it is worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My grandmother (born 1896) used to stay at The Empire when it was a hotel, when she'd come from Timmins to North Bay to visit family. Many fond memories; this must be a beautiful place for those that know the heritage, to retire into comfortable living.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the best in North Bay for retirement center mind you the view is not as good as Marina Point it definitely beats Berkeley house so if you're a person who needs or wants excellent food with an above-average View the Empire retirement home for you
