★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great for a 10km run or walk. I would suggest bringing water as there are only two water fountains and they are located about 2km apart. It would be great if they added another one for runners but it looks like they only put them at the family park areas.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warm day.. not sure how clean the waters are these days with people not being able to swim at pools and let chlorine kill off and filter out people's junk.. now sitting on lakeside edges where groups of people enter and exit and children put faces in water.. fun yes but lakes are not the same these days

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super busy in the summer( good luck parking ) and it's shocking how many people are swimming in "the lake" anywhere else it would be called a large pond. That's not just mud you're walking through under water it's years of duck and goose feces. All year the lake has hundreds or thousands of geese and ducks. The trail around the lake is nice tho, and the lake is nice to look at, but I don't recommended swimming, also had blue green algae blooms multiple times a year.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went there late afternoon, the view is very nice. it was pretty busy place, lots of people in the water, swimming taking a dip, people on their large blow up floaties or boats. It's a nice sandy beach, kids can enjoy playing in the sand with their sand toys. Water was warm. Lots of picnic tables and big open space with grass, nice place for a big gathering. There's nice hikes there too. Parking was quite full, but we were lucky to get a spot. Washrooms are currently our of order so they had the portable ones.
