Lovely forest with trails for great hikes. It was picturesque with the snow. Some small hills for toboggan too. Dogs are leashed because it is a must but some do not obey. Big free car park. Come early if you want to get a spot to park. It was bit crowded on the main wide trails but if you go on trails that is good enough for one person to walk.. less people and it is lovely. Enjoy!!!!

Really like all the different trails here! There is a lot of wild life here and many trails to explore off the main path. The one downside about this park is that the horses leave a lot of poop on the paths! Watch where you step!

A great spot for an easy, short family jaunt. The trails are wide and well maintained, with very few tree roots or rocks to worry about tripping on. The woods you’re walking through are thick and wild, nice viewing during an easy stroll. Also mostly shaded so the sun doesn’t beat down on you. There’s some pretty patches of trilliums along the path! We went at 8am and it was nice that the place was not too busy. Around 10am parking was beginning to fill up and the trails had many more hikers on them. The east lot is probably a better bet than the northwest trail head where there is very limited parking.

There are beautiful forest trails here, spacious and green<3 There are not washrooms here, limited parking spots. I like one trail to the forest pond specially, peaceful place. My advice is watch your steps, snakes here.?

Best place to go for a hike in the GTA! You'll encounter horses and dogs here... it's not an off leash dog trail, but dogs generally roam pretty free - all well trained and friendly!

Year-Round Getaway!!! The Eldred KIng Woodlands is part of the York Region Forest Tract. Spanning from Hwy 48 to McCowan Rd. It is located just North of Hall Tract. Inside the Tract you will find many kilometres of trails, a pond and plenty of shade for the warmer weather. Great for many outdoor activities such as hiking, photography, dogwalking and horseback riding. It is vast enough that you will find some privacy but at the same time it is quickly becoming a very popular attraction. In the spring be careful as it can be muddy on some of the trails. In summer some days can bring the usual pests like mosquitos and ticks. Our favourite time to visit the Tract is in the fall when the leaves are changing yet still warm enough during the day. It's also a great place for nature photography. Many travel to the area for winter hiking and snowshoeing. Great for families, joggers, dog walkers and people of all ages.

Nice and relax trail. The pond is not top notch but still a good spot for pics. Parking is easy. But watch out for horse and their left "behind".

This trail is nice and covered with plenty of tall trees to shade you from the sun. It is a very modest trail that is perfect for a leisurely walk. Sometimes you may see horses on the trail! Watch out for their droppings as there were quite a few left throughout the trail. Some wildlife was spotted as well, including frogs, snakes and a turtle. Note that there are mosquitoes, so beware. Otherwise, great for little explorers too. I suggest going in the morning as it gets busy just before noon and the parking lot is not very big.
