M	Muriel Smith on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On Sunday Feb.13th, my partner of 32 years passed away. Tuesday, Feb. 15th Ken Keough and Sabrina showed up banging on the door like the SWAT team. Ken says "we have been advised Bill Leet has passed away. Pack up your stuff and remove yourself from the premises NOW" such compassion....I am not on the lease but I am also his caregiver, as they have known for years. Sandra was not much better and has given me until Friday to clean out the apt. The rent is paid until the end of March. Do I not have any rights?.please help, I am devestated as is my Son. There's got to be a law against this. Please help.
V	Vivian Walder on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I lived at 112 Margaret Avenue, the brownstone apartments, for about a 1.5 years. The first lady that was there managing the building was nice (can't remember her name). At some point she was replaced by a man named Issac. Long story short the man was incredibly rude and unhelpful. The building has a major RAT problem that was not take seriously or addressed properly for months, our property was damaged and I have a small dog that I worried would be hurt by the rats.He claims that he was trying to fix the problem by sending a rodent company to put mouse traps out... to catch rats lol. The problem was finally addressed when our pipes froze and we taken somewhat seriously (he blamed us at first and called us liars, which I have prof of) The rats are still there btw, they are in the walls and they refuse to do anything about it except put traps out. Long story short, don't rent from this company, no one helped us or anything and the man who runs this apartment is rude, told us today that because we had filed a complaint against him and the building that he was recording our phone call and then denied it lol illegal. There is a complaint filed with the city about the rats btw incase anyone is curious.
A	Andre Miron on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This company is horrible they have no compassion during hard times in Covid when I lost my job they wanted to evict me twice. Even though i set up a payment plan. Jeff Owens has 0 compassion it's like you're talking to a robot!!. Rent somewhere else.
S	Supriya Vangipuram on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lived at the Uptown apartments for a couple of years without incident. Even returned my keys without incident. However, any time I spoke to the administrator, Cheryl, she was incredibly rude and condescending, and I am glad to be relieved of the displeasure of speaking to her again. Apartments were also not in the greatest shape, not that Effort Trust would care though. Just another property management company looking to leech off of the hard earned income of others for their profit.

I had booked an appointment to see an apartment, waiting outside the building for an hour in the cold for someone named Floater to come and show us the building. They never came and when I called they told me to make another appointment. I made an appointment for the following week and today it was canceled because someone has begun renting it. That is not my issue, my issue is that my time and resources were wasted and when I called today I was treated horribly, I was talked over and yelled at for asking for an explanation. Not only that but I was hung up on by the worker on the other end of the phone. This company has horrible service and horrible people working for the company. Do not give your money to them.
D	Dman s on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In terms of maintenance, they are probably better than most other rental companies I hear a lot of horror stories about, but Effort Trust hires absolutely miserable and rude people and installs them into positions where they have to serve the general public (i.e - their tenants). Instead of being treated like a "customer", you'll be treated like garbage. Ask questions about the building or its condition, and you'll be treated like a nuisance. Just pay your rent on time and not one cent short. I suppose the notices they have pinned up everywhere about "abusive and disespectful language is not tolerated" only goes one way. Professional bullies.
