A	Allan Parkin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awful customer service. Due to the covid crisis our group package was put off and the new date did not work. As well as being off for a year I could not afford it. Neil Cruickshank was incredibly difficult to deal with and even refused to send me his supervisors email. After paying a ridiculous fee of $250 to cancel after covid messed it up, I later found out that the AC bail out covered these costs and that others in the group that had to cancel were not charged. When I emailed the owner John Wood about this his response was - “ What part of “I’m not going to respond to further e-mails on this subject don’t you understand”? Also while I was Looking online I have found - “There has been some instances where travel agents are charging commission fees to start the refund. THIS IS ILLEGAL and double dipping as AC is NOT RECALLING COMMISSIONS on these ticket sales. You should NOT PAY ANY FEES to travel agents, and report them to your provincial business regulatory body. ” One star to many. I would not recommend this agency to anyone. These people are crooks

They told us after the fact they’ve have trouble with Sunwing before but yet continue to take peoples money. If you use these people, be prepared to get the worst experience!
T	Tracy Tremblett on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible customer service! Definitely not welcoming from the time we set foot in the door. We did not arrive late to the airport, causing us to miss our flight! I have a copy of the time of drop off from U Park, which I forwarded to you John! It was fault of Sunwing, yes that we are out $1810!!!!! What I am saying is IF you had of been upfront and told us prior instead of after the fact, your words "Sunwing is not our preferred carrier", we would of never booked with SUNWING!!!!!! People go to travel agents because of experience and recommendations! One crucial piece of information that you neglected to tell us prior would of changed the whole scenario for us!
N	Neil Turner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: outstanding customer service My wife and I had decided that we had waited long enough to go on a vacation, it had been in 2018. I started a search for travel agencies in the Newcastle area, and saw the Durham Travel Agency in Courtice. We always look for the smaller name people and decided to book an appointment with them. I had researched the choices in Las Vegas and we found a decent price for the Bellagio and asked Christine Herdsman to quote us on that and she did. We were rusty on the whole process, but Christine’s patience and professionalism made the experience 5 star in our book. I also had special needs as I have certain medical issues and needed some extra attention. We were accommodated to a tee, and our booking was painless and complete. There were followups done by Christine before we left on vacation and we had booked only a couple weeks prior to leaving. Christine even emailed us after getting back home, which I have never experienced before, a class act from a class company. We plan to always use Durham Travel for any and all travels in the future. After a two year hiatus from travelling due to Covid, we worked with Neil Cruickshank to find a warm destination in February. He spent time listening to what we like and sent us off to Paradisus Rio de Oro in Holguin Cuba. He gave us all the details on what we needed to do to travel there and answered any questions we had in a clear and timely fashion. We had such a good time we didn’t want to leave. Next, John and Neil had us on an amazing Mediterranean Cruise with Oceana. It was for a special occasion and had been deferred due to Covid. Once again they found a trip they knew would suit our tastes. We were guided through all of the steps and the trip went off without a hitch. Each port was outstanding . Oceana had excellent health safety protocols in place as was promised. The food and service was incredible , also as promised. I highly recommend Durham Travel.
