Our experience with Andrew involved a lot of disorganization, feeling unheard, confusion, poor communication, rushing and not delivering the services we paid for. We had to switch planners 3 months into wedding planning and we’re relieved we did. Our new planner truly accomplished more in 8 hours for us and the process has been way smoother and less stressful. The biggest mistake (there was a lot of them) was losing our wedding venue and not informing us that it wasn’t fully secured. This happened after we were asked by Andrew to invite our guests and pay the resort deposit. We also signed the contract at the resort and did a planing session with them. Initially, we chose to forgive this incident and continue with our services. We had a conversation after this happened around our concerns and expectations moving forward. The conversation went okay so we continued working together. I wish I trusted my gut and stopped services much sooner. He sent us new resorts, that were not highly rated at all. We discussed on MANY occasions that we are getting married in Cancun/ area. He sent us resorts near Peurto Vallarta. We had to explain to him in 3 emails that Peurto Vallarta is not near Cancun. A picture of a map was needed. This was one of the few occasions where I responded to him, he did not properly read what I said and when my husband responded he actually read the email and understood. This happened often. As a bride primarily planning the wedding, this never felt great. Some other issues: - Multiple errors on the website. People couldn’t RSVP. The page was down. They put another clients info on our website! - Confusing our wedding with other client’s weddings with our guests on the phone. - Repeatedly giving very short notice for actions that needed to be taken quickly. - Asking us to call new resorts ourselves. I could list more but I’ll stop here. I feel like there was a lot of learning happening behind the scenes. I hope there are changes moving forward from the experience we had. They did give us back half of what we paid for their services and covered the deposit we made at the resort that we lost- this was greatly appreciated. I did enjoy communicating and working with Wendy. I was excited to see a married couple planning weddings together and so passionate about what they do. Unfortunately after so many hiccups we were unable to move forward. I personally don’t believe weddings are Andrew’s strong suit. I feel there’s a lot of learning to do in regards to organization, emotional intelligence and professionalism working with couples planning their wedding. We truly hope the best for them moving forward and that this was a one off experience.
