I purchased a dishwasher from Durham Appliances just prior to the Thanksgiving weekend. I didn't realize that my wife had already purchased a dishwasher elsewhere. Durham's Appliances was kind enough to give us a full refund.

Good afternoon. We purchased a brand new dishwasher from Durham appliances. The warranty on a new item is 6 months. We hooked up the dishwasher not that long ago which was off the warranty and the valve was leaking. The hardware store didn't have a part so we took it back to Durham appliances...I didn't have a problem paying a small fee but the dishwasher was brand new not even used...they charged me $100 dollars to put a valve on it that I am very sure they had in stock because of course they are in the repair business. We also purchased a washer and dryer. They told us the washer uses hardly any hot water. Everytime we do a laundry I have to have it on cold so we can shower. It seems to use a hell of alot of hot water. I have also set it to eco warm and same problem...I also mentioned it to the salesman and his answer was use cold water...The end result is to not purchase someone else's items..always buy new with a really good warranty...So So disappointed.....

Not impressed. Machine started making awful noises less then a week later. Called a few times and it was never looked after. The warranty means nothing if they don't follow through unfortunately. Also was supposed to get a stand to stack laundry and when I called to see if it was in...the reply I got was just use tape ?...not the best experience

UPDATE: If you complain, the repairman/owner falsely accuses you of lying and arbitrarily says your warranty is no longer valid. THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE SCAM. BUYER BEWARE...DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS BUSINESS. "WARRANTY ONLY APPLIES IF YOU OWN A TRAILER AND HAVE # BURLY GUYS AROUND TO HELP LOAD YOUR NON-FUNCTIONAL APPLIANCE...AND YOUR "WARRANTY" WILL BE VOID IF YOU COMPLAIN." I purchased a FUNCTIONING appliance, but received an appliance that doesn't work properly- that was what was DELIVERED to me. This business is a DISGUSTING SCAM, and it's owner/technician is a scam artist who sells you junk and then refuses to fix it or refund you. As I has said repeatedly, I DO NOT HAVE A TRAILER OR TRUCK, NOR CAN I MOVE THE MACHINE MYSELF. (repeated for the 5th time now). That is quite scam you have going there- selling non working appliances. Despicable actually, considering the times.

These guys are Great ? Helped me out when another appliance place in Peterborough riped me off by selling me a complete lemon and would not make good on it! Durham appliance is professional and knows what there doing!!

If you require really late modern appliances this is the place. I saved several thousand dollars on the 4 units I purchased from this company compared to buying new. Their selection is huge with many stainless steel, really modern appliances and super clean. From my understanding they have great reviews. And been here for almost 30 years in business... They do charge for delivery but the fee is moderate. Also they remove the old unit. And are quite Careful Handling the appliances from what my wife told me.

Purchased a stackable washer and dryer from these guys. They installed them without a stacking kit. The washing machine motor died after 6 months and two weeks. Of course not covered under the 6 month warranty. Will never purchase through these guys again. In response to your very immature and unprofessional response to my review... I did call you, three times, The first time I was told the two weeks would be waves and a pick up was :"scheduled". When I called back when no one came to pick up the unit, the person said they had no idea what I was talking about., The third time I spoke to the owner who informed me they would not cover any major repairs (a motor to me in a major repair), plus the cost of me delivering the unit. So check your records before commenting. You had your opportunity to provide a customer who just paid you $1000 6 months and two weeks ago with customer service. You had the opportunity but you chose money over service. At no time in all three conversations did anyone mention a 30-grace period, in fact I got the run around. Seems a lot of people on here complaining about the lack of service for their units after they fail right after the 6 month warranty period ends.
