I recently had some furniture moved locally and the moving crew was on time, efficient and friendly. I've used this same company in the past and the communication with Teresa has been great. Highly recommend.

The moving crew were fabulous: on time, meticulous, organized, they worked very quickly and efficiently. They were very friendly and well mannered. They were observant of covid rules. We were very happy with our move with them.

I can’t say enough good things about Duncan Minute Men Moving & Storage. I moved household furniture and goods from Salt Spring Island to California. I contacted a number of international moving companies and the responses varied from β€œyou’re going to have to pay 30% duty”, to β€œI’m not sure we can get your furniture across the border”. Teresa from Duncan M & S instilled confidence in me immediately with her professionalism and her understanding of the process. Their quote was extremely competitive, Joyce in the office was a delight to deal with, and their long haul mover Todd was also professional, competent, willing to solve problems and help in any way he could. My goods arrived in perfect condition, and everything was put in its place with no damage to walls or floors. I am a very happy customer. ???

We are Professional Seniors, still operating an ability to pay counselling in the Cowichan Valley. A smooth move was crucial as one of us is a recovering cancer patient with mobility issues, waiting for a Hip replacement. Our move on June 28 was Local. The estimate done by Theresa was inadequate, the loading lasted overtime, the 2 truckleft before completion. The company didn't provide support for the balance of items. We are out of pocket $780.00 for additional help. Our belongings were taken to storage at Duncan Mivers and no other movers are allowed to collect them. We are sitting on lawn chairs at our new home, one bed a few clothes, a dog and cat. We have been offered a date of July 24th to return our items. The moving crew consisted of two very young boys and two middle aged men One of the men made innspropriate comments to one of our female friends who was helping us. She is considering charges. In fairness June 28 was a terribly hot day. NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.Dr. Kent and Janet Clayton

We had an estimate done by Teresa that was long, slow and painful. If I hadn't read other reviews here I would say it was her first move. This was followed by many annoying phone calls about a $100 deposit that she absolutely had to have RIGHT NOW (less than 1% of the estimate which was a ridiculously small amount) and basically covered the 'free' boxes that aren't actually free. Why not just be transparent and charge for the boxes and not harass people? Anyway, we received an estimate and a few days later the estimate was pulled and a new higher amount provided and blamed on her 'superiors'. When we asked for the $100 back we were advised it would be returned to the provided credit card - which was fine - only to discover it had never been charged. So why the panic for the $100 that didn't matter at all? The whole process in dealing with this company was amateur which eroded any confidence we could have in their capabilities. We have moved many times with the federal government and on our own, and it has always been an easy process. We did not book our move with this company as we were concerned they would not be able to execute the logistics and that the actual bill would be far different than the estimate. I have told this story many times to friends and family as it was a very strange experience. We did move with another company.

I have to share that we had the best experience with Minute Men Moving & Storage today! The crew (Mike, Kurt and Mike (dmo) were very professional, friendly and super fast! We have moved a lot but this one sticks out as one of the best experiences we’ve had on a typically stressful day. Our things have to be stored but we’ve requested that the same crew move us into our new home when the time comes. Thanks so much!!

What a nightmare! ? We moved my parents into a seniors home. We packed 70% of the boxes ourselves and not a thing was broken. They packed pictures (which they said they would wrap, WHICH THEY JUST SLID INTO A BOX, NO PAPER, a few kitchen dishes, and all the furniture which wasnt much because they were majorly downsizing. They ripped leather furniture, broke brand new dining chair leg. Almost destroyed a bookshelf which had to literally be glued and rebuilt. Antique heirloom china with broken handles. They even wrapped the handles separately so they knew they broke them?. A cord missing from a $2400 leather chair lift. ? Dirty handprints on light coloured upholstery. All we got was .60cents per lb which added up to $39. Whoopee ? They charged us over double the estimate and when I pursued it they said they made a mistake on calculations. What a joke! NEVER GET MINUTE MEN MOVING! ???
