I got the famous old lady who supposedly fails everyone. She was stern and clear in directions. Very professional. I’m surprised people called her racist here. She even asked me to fix my mask when it was about to slip down my nose (she could have just cancelled the test instead). In the end I passed my G with ease.

Amazing experience at DriveTest Orillia on Thursday January 6th, 2022! I had Jeff as my examiner for my G test. He was very professional, and friendly/gave clear directions, and made me feel comfortable throughout the test. Everyone inside was very friendly as well (the woman working at the front door, and signing everyone in, as well as the woman working behind the counter). I would recommend this location to anyone looking to write your G1 Test, G2 driving test, or G driving test. Thank you for the great experience!

I got my G2 and G at this location. I had Ruth the first time and passed, she told me that I barley passed but I did which was funny at the time but a pass is a pass. For my G I had Brian and he was very professional, during the test we didn’t really talk but after we had a good few laughs about the test. The test is stressful as you are overthinking the whole time but just take a deep breath and focus on the road and speed limits. Having the test cut in half was great cause we just left the centre, took a right then a left then a tight on west street, right on tin the highway, fist exit off then back on to the highway northbound then the second right off the highway and back to the centre. I would highly recommend this drive centre as they are very professional and kind . Great bunch of people there. Remember just deep breath and focus and you’ll pass ?

Wow. I am not the only one who was treated in a rude manner by the instructor. I m also here to add comments about the same lady. She is already famous here. The way she talks clearly needs to be addressed. I failed my test and I don’t blame anyone for that. But She needs to learn to be a little humble n polite. And there is no doubt she’s been racist.

Gave my G2 in 2019 and G today. And passed both in 1st attempt. Jeff was my examiner today and he was super professional & friendly. He provided directions appropriately in a timely manner. The front desk was so sweet & friendly. All these negative reviews made me so nervous but trust me its not as bad as you think. Overall I had a great experience both in 2019 & 2022.

I had an older woman with white hair for my G test. Her instructions were clear and she let me know of every turn ahead of time. She answered my question about the construction on the highway before the test started and her answer was very reassuring but still professional. Everyone inside of the building was also very nice.

I was nervous for my g2 but felt ready. Luckily, I did not get Ruth. I got Jeff who was not necessarily friendly but he was professional and to the point which is to be expected. It was a very snowy day with cars literally slipping and sliding everywhere and he provided me directions appropriately. The front desk staff are amazing, surprisingly very friendly. If it were based on the front desk stuff, I would give 5 stars and the fact that I passed on my first attempt with Jeff. But giving only 3 stars because I could tell that the general environment of this centre & other driving instructors (I arrived very early and saw them walking around and coming back from other tests), have an unapproachable and generally stand-offish demeanour. I did appreciate Jeff very much since he kept it professional and did not cross the line into rude or condescending. And for that, I am thankful. I would say that this route is easy compared to other test centres but be confident and prepared. If you are a teenager going for your g2, don’t be intimidated by them. I am in my 30s and if I was a teenager, I would probably have felt more uncomfortable but thankfully I am a little older and can handle a good dose of awkwardness or a stern tone.

The Examiner Ruth was very rude I dont know how she qualifies for this job . She wanted me to drive at 50 km in school zone even when the speed limit was 40 km posted and the school kids were on the side walks. In the attached photo just have a look at the intersection , she wanted me to make a left turn when there is contruction work going on in the middle of it .. I don't know how to fight for this . But for higher authorities its request just have look at her examine skills. She was too late for all direction calls . Just read all negative reviews under her name and am just wondering how they are keeping her. And the most funniest thing is all comments are from Indian community . I think thats why they are not firing her.
