★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve had drivesure for almost a year and had hail damage, they were quick to answer any questions, the whole process was easy, they paid for everything I signed up for and quick, I would 100% recommend these guys I have nothing bad to say, I am impressed and happy with everything which usually never happens so thank you for making a stressful situation so easy as my main insurance company TD has been nothing but a headache!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Re Better Car Replacement Insurance - Typical insurance, takes your premium but denies your claim. Exclusions should be explained upfront and not in a tiny section in a 7 pages Terms and Conditions. Who has time to read lengthy documents? When we bought the policy, we were given 2 page DriveSure contract and nowhere did it mention the exclusions. Apparently the 7 pages Terms and Conditions were sent afterwards. Anyway we didn’t know about the exclusions and put the car under Turo (peer to peer car rental) to earn a little bit on the side. One of the guests damaged the car and ICBC deemed the car a total loss. DriveSure’s Better Car Replacement Insurance is supposed to pay the difference between the original purchase price of the car and ICBC’s settlement based on the car’s current market value at the time of loss. ICBC is paying its share but DriveSure will not. According to DriveSure, short term rental is excluded in their coverage so no payment is coming out from them. Since Turo is becoming extremely popular, I’m posting this DriveSure’s Terms and Conditions exclusion section as a buyer beware for future DriveSure insurance buyers that also plan to rent their vehicles:
SECTION F - EXCLUSIONS
This Policy does not cover or apply to any of the following, or to any liability or obligation arising in connection with any of the following:
k. vehicles utilized by government or municipal services, police cars, driving school vehicles, security patrol vehicles, exhibition or racing cars, short term rental vehicles, light vans other than original manufacturer's models with standard equipment, all trucks with load capacity in excess of 1 ton, and utility vehicles weighing over 6,500 kilograms gross vehicle weight;
