Absolutely horrible to work with and completely incompetent. I rolled my truck and had a severe concussion and still caught 3 different mistakes on their appraisals of my truck. On top of the mistakes, their appraisal referenced a junk truck with a missing bumper, seats torn top to bottom with a knife, that didn't even run according to the ad. They added a couple hundred dollars and claimed that was comparable to my truck that was in great condition. It took weeks for them to reply to every email, and even after I did a ton of research for them proving how much my vehicle was worth they still only gave me 2/3 of the market value. To top it all off, the check they finally gave me bounced charging me a service fee, and it was a nightmare getting it deposited. Would not recommend anyone working with them, they are incompetent and will scam you. 0/5

We had a claim and found the staff at Stratford underwriting were very responsive and fair in their dealings. We did not spend any time on hold during many calls to them. Responded quickly to all our questions and concerns! Highly recommend this company.

Rats got into my engine and chewed up the wires. It cost me over $1000 and a weeks rental car. I didnt think it was covered till I talked to them, but I had comprehensive insurance and they covered the whole thing. The claim was reviewed, processed and approved in less than an hour. Best insurance encounter I've ever had. Thanks, Jessica

Jennifer was really helpful in getting my claim started. She quickly provided all the details I needed to understand the process, and to locate a certified Tesla repair shop to fix my damaged car. Great service!

It was easy to deal with the agent and he was very patient as I translated things back and forth from my mom. For an auto claim. Easy questions and process. I got an email same day listing the phone number of their preferred auto shop and it was close to my house and the shop I already dealt with before.

Very good experience dealing with Stratford for our optional car insurance. Had an accident and had no trouble getting through by phone to make a claim. Our adjuster Amy was pleasant and responded to all matters in a timely manner. I will definitely continue using Stratford for our optional car insurance and would highly recommend them.

We filed our first ever claim for mold and water damage in the undercarriage and trunk of our car. Our case was made more complex when the alternator died around the same time (separate issue, not covered). Our claims adjuster Justin was amazing -- they walked us through each step of the process of a fairly complex claim, was very prompt in contacting me and answering questions, coordinated with our mechanic and the autobody shop and a car towing company, made arrangements that were flexible to our needs, and was empathetic to the difficulties we were having. We felt cared for and in good hands. The process was as painless as it could be given the complexity of the issues. The total work that was done amounted over $2000, which we paid only the deductible. We later learned from the auto body shop that ICBC would not have covered water damage, and so I am extra glad we went with Stratford!

Unfortunately, my experience with Stratford has gone from excellent to underhanded in a matter of days. I was involved in a hit and run MVC and as Stratford is my optional insurance provider, my main interaction has been with Stratford. A courtesy car was not available from the repair shop however I have loss of use coverage. I was told by my claims representative that he will set up the rental and inform me when it is close to its limit and that the next step would be to reach out to ICBC to see if they would cover the remainder. No such communication ever occurred and I randomly received unauthorized charges from enterprise to my credit card on the evening of a long weekend. Two days after my policy maximum was reached. When I reached out to my claims rep. at Stratford I was told I would need to sort it out with enterprise. I reminded him that he had told me he would communicate with me when the policy was near its maximum and that that had not occurred. Had this occurred even on the last day of coverage, I would have personally reached out to the body shop and ICBC to ensure someone would cover the cost of the rental or had a courtesy car to offer. Of course I have gone ahead and reached out to Stratford, ICBC and the body shop in hopes that someone is going to cover the cost or provide a courtesy car for the duration of these extensive repairs from an accident I was in no way responsible for. I believe this leg work is the responsibility of the insurance company and yet here I am at home on maternity leave with a baby, chasing dead ends attempting to ensure I have no costs incurred that would have been avoided in the first place if Stratford had communicated effectively.
