Driftwood Apartments

Excellent location, quiet and comfortable. Any concerns were handled promptly by the attentive management staff (G & S). They along with our friendly neighbors have made us feel welcome for over 6 years.

Our building managers (Susan and George) at 689 Woolwich St are always helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. Our unit was renovated before moving in and it is close to all amenities. We even have the park right behind us.

My husband and I are very happy to find this apartment 689 Woolwich St. Driftwood Apartment. After we searched for 2 months finally we found a nice place here in Guelph. The building manager (Susan) was so very helpful and very kind. Susan is always willing to help the residents.

Driftwood Apartments, Woolwich Street, Guelph, ON I have been a resident at the driftwood for nearly 7 months now; so, I am a relatively new comer. The building and property are very clean and well maintained. Most importantly it is quiet, no disturbing or rowdy neighbours. Williams & McDaniel are appreciative of their tenants as exhibited by the move in welcome items and their Christmas reception with snacks and door prizes. My apartment was extensively remodeled prior to my occupancy. Both the kitchen and the bathroom were completely refurbished with new floors, wall tile/back splash, cabinets, appliances and fixtures. The rooms were repainted and the floors refinished. The building itself has undergone an extensive exterior refurbishing with all new exterior windows and sliding doors while the balconies have been completely overhauled. My apartment is warm and bright. The only thing lacking with thebuilding is elevator access at ground level. The managers, George and Suzanne are very friendly, cooperative and quick to resolve any concerns one might have. They also follow up which shows commitment. The Driftwoods location in unbeatable. Everything one needs is right at hand. Banks, pharmacy, Evergreen Seniors Centre, bus service, convenience stores, cleaners and of course Riverside Park?

My partner and I have been living at the Driftwood for about 4 years. And we love this building. The location is wonderful, onsite parking and the newest updates of the windows, balcony door and the out side facade have really helpful. But all of this means nothing if we weren't lucky enough to have Susan and George as our building managers. They are so attentive with the up keep and of course maintenance requests. Really make this apartment building a home. We'll be staying for awhile.

I’m a resident and a senior living at The Diplomat Apartments next door to the Driftwood on Woolwich St. This is part of the Williams McDaniel family of apartment buildings. I’ve been here for a little over 3 years. Our buildings are beside Riverside Park and approximately 50 yards from the Evergreen Senior’s Centre and a very convenient bus stop for the main bus line number 99. First, I’d like to comment on our super “Supers” George and Suzanne. I’ve had many Supers over the years good and bad but these guys are in a class of there own. They are extremely friendly and caring and deeply committed to making sure we receive the best possible service. A request for assistance with an issue is barely finished before they are at my door doing whatever is needed. If they can’t fix it on the spot they have another professional there to do it. They along with the management have a Christmas get together as well as a summer Barbecue. I also had the opportunity to deal with one of the management team, Trish. This was an issue that any Property Management would normally state would only be dealt with when they were preparing the apartment for another resident upon my leaving. Instead they brought in a qualified person to deal with it at no cost to myself. The apartments are very clean and well maintained and are much larger than what you would get with a newer building. Many of the apartments have been renewed beautifully with fresh new bathrooms and kitchens including a dish washer. I couldn’t as a an independent senior see myself living anywhere else.
