Dr. Fabian Tai & Associates - Vision Therapy & Optometrist

We have been with Dr.Fabian Tai for over 15 years. His proficiency and dedication towards his patients go beyond the norm . An emergency appointment was give to me, as well as a follow up tomorrow and Saturday, disrupting his family time. THANK YOU.

I was referred to Dr. Fabian Tai and Associates by a family member for their Dry Eye Spa/Treatment. I had recently underwent a round of Accutane which caused my eyes to become very dry and irritated, making it difficult to work my 9-5 desk job. I saw Dr. Fong for an initial dry eye consultation, which then led to four in office treatments consisting of red and blue light therapy, IPL, and eyelid expressions. My symptoms are now practically non existent and I can finally wear my contact lenses again. I will be back every 6 months for a treatment to maintain the progress I have made. Thank you Dr. Fong & team! I will be forever grateful!

Dr. Tai has been my family's Optometrist for the past 21 years. I have always found Dr. Tai to be professional, extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. I recently had complications with my eyes. Dr. Tai addressed my issues , made follow up appointments to monitor my situation and contacted my family physician to ensure I had a holistic approach to my care. What an outstanding human being and Optometrist.

I wanted to come on here and share my experience that we recently had with both my daughter and my youngest son. Starting off with my daughter who is in grade 4. She has been struggling with school for a while now, and to be honest we just thought it was her not wanting to study and was going to school just to socialize with her friends, not knowing that there was an underlying problem. We happen to cross paths with Dr. Tai and his office, who had shed light that she could possibly have a visual problems. We decided to bring her in to do a visual assessment, which was one of the best things we could of done for her ! With all the testing that was done , we finally got an answer as to why our daughter was having troubles at school, she was having problem with her vision and that there was a solution, Dr. Tai reccomend vision therapy. Our daughters started vision therapy early week of February with an amazing vision therapist Vivian. In such a short little time of he starting my daughter brought home four A+ Mark's home, something that hasn't happened since she started school! We notice that she is more positive and has alot more confidence when it comes to school work and tests. We are super excited to see her journey unfold ! As too my youngest son , who is 5 years old. He started to act out in school, something new for all of us as it started in February. We where struggling to understand why the sudden change. My wife and I decided to bring him in to do an eye exam with Dr. Tai and also a visual assessment on him as well. We got the answers we where looking for , my son also has visual difficulties, but because he is a little young and it will be a little difficult for him to start vision therapy at this moment, Dr. Tai and his team have reccomend other alternatives to help him out until he is ready to start vision therapy! He gave us all the information we needed, It has been so helpful because it gives us a starting point to where to go for help for him. We are so very thank to be working with an office who cares the way they do. Thank you!

In 2018, we noticed our daughter’s right eye had started to wander in and she began complaining of dizziness, eye soreness, and headaches. We took her to an optometrist and were given a prescription for glasses. While they helped with her vision and alleviated her wandering eye, she still complained of eye pain and headaches. At the end of 2019, our optometrist referred us to Dr. Tai’s office and she was partnered with Rebecca, one of Dr. Tai’s incredible Vision Therapists. It’s hard to properly articulate how incredible our experience was. Over four rounds of VT with Rebecca and regular progress checks with Dr. Tai, we saw immense incremental changes with our daughter’s overall confidence. She developed greater spacial awareness, her eye pain and dizziness were alleviated and she was better able to manage her eye turn when her glasses were off. She was also willing to try new things, like soccer. What we thought was just going to be therapy to support for her vision, turned out to be support for so many things we didn’t even realize were challenging her. We can’t recommend Dr. Tai and his team enough. He takes a holistic approach to vision - connecting brain function, reflexes, learning, and confidence (and many more things) to treatment. He is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does. We also can’t recommend Rebecca enough. She is kind, caring, knowledgeable, and truly cares about her patients. Our daughter absolutely loves her and so do we! The positive changes we have seen in our daughter have been truly life-altering. You really have to do the work to reap the benefits of VT but the time spent is so well worth it!

I had been given a recommendation that I should meet with Dr. Tai because I was suffering from dizziness and nausea and that he may be able to help me with this issue. After being tested, he recommend that I try the Visual Therapy Sessions offered through his clinic because he believed that it would help reduce the dizziness. Kathleen was assigned to be my therapist, and she was truly phenomenal! She is kind, patient and went above and beyond the call of duty! I'm so glad I took the chance to take the Visual Therapy Sessions because I was able to reduce my dizziness which gave me a new sense of confidence. The program exceeded my expectations! Thank you to all!!!

Dr. Tai, Dr. Fong and staff are incredible. Not only have they taken great care of mine and my wife's vision, but they go above and beyond to consider all different avenues of our overall health. It's rare to find doctors that combine such personal touches and care for a patient along with an outstanding quality of medical care.

We came to Dr. Tai for a routine annual eye exam, where I mentioned my son has recently been diagnosed with Central Auditory Processing. Dr. Tai suggested an assessment for vision therapy as sight and hearing work together. Immediately, Dr. Tai was able to diagnose things I did not even mention. He prescribed special prism lenses to help with focus and car motion sickness. We also started Vision Therapy a year ago, and what huge improvements we have seen! My son has struggled with learning to read in younger grades and spelling mistakes, even though we read as a family and spend a lot of time on learning and education. Teachers just said it will come with time and maturity. In one year alone, he made it to just few occasional minor spelling mistakes. He now loves puzzles and word searches, which he got very frustrated over when working previously. He has better focus and handwriting. These are things that many people take for granted, unless they have been struggling themselves for years. There are no more homework tantrums! He is a more active participant in class discussions and can follow the lessons better. Activities like reading and puzzles now bring him joy. The one year of Vision Therapy was the best investment in my son’s education. Stephanie, his therapist is awesome and had a great relationship with my son. She was encouraging and challenging him just the right amount to help him grow. Thank you, Dr. Tai and the whole team.
