I have been going to the Northland office for many years. The eye testing experience is great and I trust their recommendations. The reason for three star rating is that the staff has tendency for overselling products which I do not need. That has happened with me and my wife that we bought stuff which we had no use for or over bought on their recommendations. Instead of a medical establishment, they acted as a business to incite me to buy more. Other than that, staff is friendly and I got trust worthy service.

I used to go to this location for all my checkups etc before moving and had nothing but good experiences. Recently I was in the neighborhood and got some debris in my eye which got lodged under my eyelid causing extreme pain and discomfort that did not go away after an hour. They were able to take me in last minute to treat my eye and did not charge me a single cent. Thank you to everyone at this location who were able to take the time at the end of their busy day to help me in my moment of need and show me nothing but kindness.

Awful service, bad customer experience. Got an eye exam done on Mar 26, 2022 and Dr Bishop gave me a prescription for 2019. When I called the clinic they agree to the mistake of giving the wrong prescription no action was taken by the clinic. Never ever recommend anyone to this clinic.

I have an ugly word for the front desk staff behaviour but I'll refrain because I'm too polite. If you ever felt overlooked here it's because you're not the kind of people they want to be associated with. Dr Bishop himself is great! He can look beyond ones appearance even if he's just pretending in order keep his clients. I've seen front desk being pleasant to the point of gushing over some clients. Just remember that everyone is equal and should be treated as such. We are all people. Even if you don't feel this wayΒ when at work, pretend. I must quickly add, not all front desk staff are like this. A few haven't forgotten that they are in customer service. I see from other reviews that most complaints are usually about front desk staff. I think owners of all businesses with this situation should take heed and adjust their staff's unpleasant behaviour towards some clients. They deter me from wanting to go back there: While waiting outside, first in line they overlooked me and beckoned to the person behind me to come in. She actually had to lean to peer around my big head to address the person behind me They also raised their voice at me for no reason and showed impatience and disdain. Plus their inconsistency when it comes to presenting your health care card and id. Sometimes they require it sometimes they don't. Long wait outside over an hour to get in. Other persons went in. Once when I was late they told me to come back instead of option to wait. I'm normally calm and tolerant yet they made me feel very miserable. That was the last straw Overall really an uneasy atmosphere. I would've gone to a different location but Google reviews there don't offer much hope either. Sorry to waste my time writing this review but prospective clients should know. I'm going elsewhere which doesn't have so many negative reviews. I actually found one. Hoping that my experience there will be different. Imagine if the front desk staff were great at Dr Bishop it would be 5 stars. The doctors are professionals. I'll miss Dr Nyugen. She's the gem who got me in the right prescription glasses last year. Do not look up my name in your logs. For that same reason I've used a fake one to avoid even more bias. All other info is correct, sadly. It's been a while since my last visit, hope front desk is less unkind

The front desk workers are absolutely disrespectful. I would never want to visit such kind of a place. Answering questions has became such a hard thing to do. As a front desk worker it’s your duty to answer all questions of the customers, and to make sure they understand everything. In order to make a decision and pay, you need to know what your paying for and all the detail regarding the item. Showing attitude is not going to solve any problem. Speaking from my experience, I simply asked a question as I was not understanding what the worker was saying, but she simply walked away. Especially the lady named tanveen.

I have visited Dr. Bishop and Associates once or twice a year – for my yearly eye exam - and for just over a decade now. As a matter of fact, I started with Dr. Sanya Ong. At some point it was Dr. Eric Bishop then Dr. Anh Nguyen and most recently Dr. Thao Nguyen. The service has been excellent from the receptionists, the optometric assistants (OAs) all way up to the optometrists (ODs). I just visited their new office in Northgate Village Shopping Centre which is very close to their old office in Marlborough Mall. Once again, I had a five-star service. This office is spacious and brighter. In addition, it offers ample parking. Before I close my review, I would like to compliment and thank the optometric assistant who served me today. This young lady (my apologies for not remembering her name) was polite, professional and friendly. It also applies to Dr. Thao Nguyen who was fantastic, as always.

I love Dr. Bishop & Associates. I have been coming to the Marlborough clinic for almost 20 years, and in that time I've seen several different doctors. A few years ago I saw Dr. Eric Bishop and knew I would only see him moving forward. He is incredible, and more than I ever knew an optometrist could be. When I had shingles and saw him to make sure my eyes weren't suffering, he was professional and informative but also calming and entertaining which helped keep my mind off the pain and possibilities. All in all, I have always found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. I absolutely recommend this practice and look forward to my exam every year.
