Dolphins Resort

Best place to stay on the entire Vancouver Island. Was able to do some great fishing and the views and food were amazing. But the best part of this resort is the care and love that the owners put into it to make every stay as special as possible.

A hidden gem. Rustic but well cared for with everything you need to be cozy and comfortable. Great kitchenette but also a really excellent restaurant onsite. We would not hesitate to return again.

Went out for a Birthday breakfast and everything was great. Good food and the service was awesome. One of our favorite spots.

We’ve been going to Dolphins for years, and I’m not sure if they have new management, but they’ve really declined that last year or so. Jacking up prices, zero flexibility, fewer pet friendly rooms. Really disappointing.

Just got back home from Dolphins, I had to give my review immediately. Firstly the host made every effort to ensure we had a Great stay, she went so far to personalized the cottage to make it extra nice with cupcakes and a fruit basket awaited us to add. The caretakers were constantly sanitizing all the surfaces around the resort which we appreciated emensly. The resort is somewhat rustic in finish and it's layout is very open, I would say it's not like anything that exists along the coastlines of Trindad. The simplicity of the resort is like a breath of fresh air. The out door is regular materials re-purposed in a very smart way adding to the uniqueness of the resort. The cottages are double bed studios with full kitchenettes, Air-conditioned, single toilet and baths with a porch to the front aprox 5 ft wide x the full width of the cottage. Best way to describe it is " comfortable ". As for the beachfront, it is as expected, murkeey brown water but the shoreline is surprisingly nice with nice sand and lots of seashells which makes it a decent enough beachfront to enjoy. The pool is just about 1 - 2 ft deep with multiple jets which was alot of fun especially for the kids. And finally the property has 3 beachfront lookout spaces overlooking the west coast, 2 of which is on the 2nd level and 1 main on the lower with 2 comfortable sitting areas. Overall I gave this property a 5 star rating because of the uniqueness, simplicity and the service we received. To add, all amenities for shopping, grocery, food ,fish market and more are all within 7 mins from the resort. I am already booking my next Stay. My 7year old kid had the most fun and as parents we felt extremely safe to allow him to move about freely.

We loved this place! It had a decently kitted out kitchen, a comfy bed, an awesome little wood stove, and the view was incredible! We didn't see any whales but the 5 cruise ships almost made up for it. Oh, and I forgot to mention the private hot tub looking out at the ocean!!

I am happy with our stay. To book your cabin, you need to send a 50% advance deposit then upon checking in. The resort credited on my account around 800$ (something like for insurance purposes). The staff told me that they would just send me thru my email the receipt with my bill on our check out. Unfortunately, I did not receive any receipt. I waited to see the money back for 3 days on my account, happily the resort only credited 50% of our balance. The accommodation is equipped with a full kitchen. The beds were comfy. Need to have or bring your own lighter to fire the wood to be used in the fireplace. Our personal hot tub was hot and ready when got there. The cabin is clean and quaint. We also had a nice walk at the beach area. We surely love our stay.
