R	Ranger D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently called to make reservations for 4 people for dinner. You have to wait for a return call back from the April Point restaurant staff to confirm your requested time is available. A fellow called back the next day and advised my wife that the 6PM seating requested was not available, but a 6:45pm seating was available. My wife said "Oh OK, I guess that is the only choice" to which the guy responded with "well, you don't have to come". Even though this came across as rude, the reservation was booked. After thinking about being told we didn't have to come, we decided to read some of the recent online reviews about the hit and miss service and food experiences reviewers have had. We concluded that the reservation taker was actually correct. We don't have to come so we cancelled. When the bad experience starts at the reservation stage it's time to move on.
b	brian ladouceur on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely loved this lil slice of heaven, it was so nice and peaceful right on the ocean. food was delicious salmon was super fresh and we thought we were staying at painters lodge and we were checked in across at April point we got to hop A WATER TAXI across the other said it was so awesome . Jen was an absolute gem to deal with best front desk staff I have encountered on my adventures we will definitely be back every year now.

The service and food were very nice and the setting was simply gorgeous. We were very pleased and I passed my congratulations on to the manager. Thank you for a delightful evening!

My brother and mom enjoyed their meals as well, we will definitely be returning for food. The atmosphere was so nice, I am so happy the resort is opened this year.
X	XtremeRAW on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food seems hastily cooked and not with love...the legendary painters lodge used to be a great fishing lodge. Its not even about fishing anymore. I don’t think they own any fishing boats anymore.

We really enjoyed the continuous water taxi to and from Painters Lodge which makes Campbell River super accessible for a meal at Painters Lodge or to just get to April Point if you're not requiring a vehicle on Quadra Island.

We absolutely loved our waterfront room with the view of the dock, intermittent water taxi to Campbell River and kayakers. Bucky was fantastic this summer in getting us situated with our kayak. Took an adventure up the point and encountered all sorts of wildlife. Absolutely post-card worthy! Immerse yourself in nature for a relaxing, truly 'Vancouver Island' experience. Fishing charters looked great, will need to try next time. Quadra Island has limited options for food so please do keep this in mind. We had a small fridge in our room so we stocked up at the local grocery store on essentials during our week-long stay. The main lodge where check-in occurs has a beverage vending machine during their open hours.

Even if you do not fish, there is lots to see and do here... from enjoying their spa to the beautiful landscaping and flowers, to maybe enjoying the view over a beverage and a game of pool in the bar, or taking in one of the ecotours. You need to add this place to your list of your are in the area!!
