★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like it, it has the same staff from when I first moved back here in 2010 and they are friendly to me and my family. They are helpful and considerate BUT if you are rude or have a hard time listening to both sides of an argument, theft or rules regarding backpacks, they will not back down (The area is the reason for it and you quite frankly have to be). I give 3 stars because it can get stupidly out of hand real quick and there are obviously kids that visit the store, mine included when these "differences" occur.
Other than that, I like that there are name brand products that I would normally never buy due to price, they can have great hair clips/ties, occasional E.L.F. brushes, Polly Pockets, etc. And the candy/gum selection is pretty great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s ridiculous! I understand that my purse is large but they are crazy to think I will leave my purse in their locker (which looks pretty gross) so I can shop. I have not experience this type of service in other dollar stores!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been shopping there for years, the manager Wane and the staff are very friendly and helpful, they are polite to customers that are verbally abusive, they have to deal with that everyday. They have great Christmas decorations, cards, gift bags and so much more ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shout out to staff, all of them. They do very much, regardless of the profiling and extra security. That's kinda necessary for the area, y'know, unfortunately. I live in the DTES and this store has great value and is really a must for the community.
If you see the staff not happy or isn't up yo your standards... it's not you. Try to still smile at them and greet them as you arrive & leave, it makes a difference. Alot of people don't respect them, some even mistreat them, so keep that in mind. They've worked there for years and has kept going, so they deserve that consideration & your respect regardless. ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This location is not wheel chair accessible and they make you leave your backpacks and bags in lockers by the front door. The early close time is also a detractor. *Edit* I returned today and noticed that the store is a huge mess, the inventory is just sitting unlocked in the isles and stuff looks like it was thrown every which way and no one was tidying it up. I did ask a employee where something was, and he went out of his way to show me to it when I couldn't find it. Overall the store is a mess, but the service was good.
