When I made my appointment I had an 18 year old shitzu and I also had a four month old Cocker Spaniel American and Tyler did a fantastic job of both of them and I'm waiting for the next appointment Marilyn

The staff and owner have been wonderful with my guy who is a work in progress. I’m kept up to date with his progress or issues and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We leave our dog Mochi here quite often and he absolutely loves it! The owner and her staff are super friendly and accommodating as they do a great job updating us on Mochi’s well being. We have had an incident here before but they did a great job handling it and keeping us updated! Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a dog daycare!

I’ve been bringing my dog Kairi here for only three months and as far as I’m aware, she enjoyed it. However, there were numerous negative events that happened in such a short timespan which prompted me to leave this negative review. The first and most pressing issue is that my dog contracted Kennel Cough from this location at least once, possibly twice. I say “possibly twice” as the second time could have been from another source, who can be sure. But she was there a couple days prior to her second Kennel Cough diagnosis. And that’s fine. I accept it’s a risk that comes with doggy daycare, especially with puppies. But I’m unhappy with how they handled the situation. I am moving out of province and had purchased the 10-pack intending to use them before I left. But two Kennel Cough diagnoses forced me to be unable to bring my dog in, and over half of the pack is waiting to expire as they will not refund me. Aside from that, there were two instances where my dog was in negative situations. The first I saw on webcam and had to call myself to get them to intervene, as another bigger dog (who they later told me was there for the first time) had her pinned against the wall for upwards of fifteen minutes. The second, they told me she had gotten into a fight. I don’t know if she was the instigator but if so, they could have told me she wasn’t suitable for daycare any longer and I wouldn’t have taken her back. I wish it had worked out, as Kairi loved daycare. But so many negative experiences over only a few months has soured my experience.

Late review as I have no sent my dog here in a few months: Giving it two stars because my dog did used to love coming here, and I think it is important to note that every dog is different and doggy daycare may work for plenty and may not work for others. As an owner I do wish I removed him from the environment of daycare much sooner. As I mentioned, my dog did seem to like going here at first. Until an incident where I'm not all too sure what happened as I was not notified of anything happening to him up until I went to pick him up. I was only informed there was an incident between my dog and another and when I went to pick him up, there was a bite mark and cut on his nose. Now, I do not have blame on any specific party. I do notice that sometimes there may be an overwhelming amount of dogs for 1 attendant to watch over, and things may happen. However, I do wish that I was notified of the incident right when it happened, and not when I went to go pick him up, so that I could have picked him up for daycare right away rather than having him spend the rest of his day there after the incident. Since this incident, I find my dog has been slightly more reactive to other dogs, and now work with a behavioural trainer to help him with his reactivity I also have to leave a poor review as I feel they preach positive reinforcement but have quite literally seen on camera my dog being grabbed by the snout or his scruff or them stomping around my dog? I will be the last person to admit my dog is perfect, but if they just told me he wasn't doing that great in daycare anymore, I would not have continued to bring him. Again, I will reiterate that while daycare may be amazing to some dogs, it is not the best for every dog. As his owner, I should have continued to keep asking how he was doing, or even brought up my concerns right when I had them. **edit: communication has been made between myself and the manager however it does not change my review nor made my experience better. I would like to point out the review was made so that change could be made in the facility in terms of communication, however as per the emails I received and the reply to this review, their main concern seems to be the duration of time it took for me to write the review. And for this, i'd have to give it 1 star.

The level of service at Dogtopia is impeccable! We had just recently boarded our dog there and the staff at Dogtopia went above and beyond taking care of him. Unfortunately, he got sick just prior to our vacation and they even went as far as to have one of their staff members take him home to personally care for him. Kristen specifically, cared for our dog at her home (which I am so grateful for) and even sent me pics of him while he was there. They got our dog the treatment he required at the time by getting a veterinary doctor to come in and see him (with our confirmation) and just treated him real special. They followed up with us on a daily basis, sending us updates and pictures on our vacation as to how he was doing and assuring us that he was doing well. We were able to monitor him as well via webcam, while he was in daycare with the other dogs and was only put with dogs that were matched to his size and personality. I am very happy with the level of service provided and would highly recommend Dogtopia to any dog owner. They even went as far as to follow up with me after our dog's stay, just to see how he was feeling. That was so sweet. I will definitely take my dog there again, even just to socialize with the other dogs. Thank you again Dogtopia and specifically-Kristen.

Best doggy daycare! My dog has such a great time here and always comes home mentally and physically exhausted. Staff there are all amazing and will take great care of your fur baby. All locations are independently own, I wouldn't judge one and not at least give Lionhead location a try. Highly recommend!
