What a joke. I call to complain about the service (not open during opening hours. No return messages) and they call the cops to claim harassment. A new height in service recovery I will share widely. Maybe they should convert to a vending machine. A few facts that may help readers understand the self righteous attempts by this retailer to justify their incompetence and to save others from a similar experience. There were 3 calls made to the store during business hours. No one answered. 2 messages were left. The first message was polite and very specific - i needed 2 boat tarps. This message was not returned after 3 days. I then went to the store on Monday during store hours and it was closed. I checked their phone to see if there was a notice of unexpected closing (the second call), and after waiting for 30 minutes in hope someone might show up, I left a message in complete exasperation. The reaction of this business owner is telling in 5 ways. 1. Expect excuses 2. Expect deceit. "we had a family emergency" - a doubtful claim given previous admissions on this forum that they or staff find it hard to make it into work on Mondays (so sad). They also have non-family staff that could have covered. 3. Expect Righteous indignance. "how dare someone call me out for my incompetence. I'm gonna call the cops and make false claims of threat and harrassment". The nice constable to whom spoke, and who was apparently misinformed, agreed with with my rights to freedom of speech 4. Given their evident challenges with the basics of running a business, it would be reasonable to assume that more complex matters like a product defect or return, would pose and even greater challenge, both procedurally (is someone ever in the store to deal with a problem let alone a sale) and ethically - will there be an objectively fair resolution to any issue or oder or will there be excuses, deception, or attempts to silence criticism. In short, if you cannot take negative feedback while seeking to blame others and make excuses for failing meet even the most basic elements of your business - answer the phone, return calls, be open during store hours, then I owe a duty to the reputation of those of us in business who operate with integrity, and to well meaning consumers that I value more than you apparently do, to save them from the cost and frustration of attempting to do business with your company.

Not a good experience. Felt like I wasn't taken seriously, owner was cold and did not want to help, almost seemed as if he couldn't get me out of there fast enough. I was there to take a look at different dock frames to get an idea of what we wanted for our cottage, however in the first 2 minutes of being there felt like it was time to go. I got the impression that the owner did not want to help me at all, didn't want to answer any questions, was cold and just kept saying if he has to sit down and go over with me what I want then he has to charge a consulting fee as its valuable time for him. I, as a consultant myself, 100%understand time is money, but I simply just wanted to take a look at the frames HE HAD available so I could decide what I wanted to do. I did not need him to hold my hand, but even still that was too much to ask. When I asked about pricing of the pvc compared to the cedar he more or less laughed implying it was too expensive for me to get pvc. I just thought that was really rude, as he does not know me, and has no right to determine how much I can afford. I would think that if i just told you I have a cottage and am looking a building a dock, I have some money.... needless to say I will not be back!

Could not get a bobber anywhere for weeks of delivery - all in USA. Ordered exactly what I wanted from Docks+, price was great and delivery was next day. A great experience.

Docks plus has tons of cool lake gear in the shop and they also have a ton of winter/snowmobiling stuff too. Or they have found me what I needed when some other places don't have the right parts or stock.

I arrived to find the door locked during business hours iPhoned the number on the door and got the answering machine I noticed a guy looking through the window in the building beside the business in the parking lot, looking through the window. I waited for sometime before he came out he was not talkative and didn’t say anything once inside I was asking questions about wakeboards he just said they were good boards at a good price…not answering my questions about size and weight I felt rushed and pressured and it seemed like he didn’t want me there. He stood over my shoulder as I looked around and after a bit he walked me to the door and his comment was β€œwell it doesn’t seem like you know what you want”. I found this odd as I wanted information on wakeboards so I could by one. Went to royal sports which were cheaper but not much more in the customer service side of things.

Selling old items and overpricing them. Customer service was Terrible. Don't recommend going there. Try royal sports on Pembina or any Canadian Tire. They have way cheaper prices.
