I just want to cancel a preorder as their OWN website says cancelation on preorder is possible. It’s been over a week and I’ve sent daily emails asking for confirmation of cancellation and no response! Highly frustrating! I’m going to contact PayPal if I don’t hear back within the week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have great online sales frequently. The customer service is excellent! And they have a great fabric selection; some collections are not available readily in Canada otherwise. Nice to have this option online in Canada. If you have a deadline, just order in stock items, not pre-orders. Pre-orders may be later than estimated delivery time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I want to start off with saying Dinkydoo has wonderful fabrics and great selections of fabrics and other sewing items. I cannot fault them for this and would say this is a good place to shop. Until now I thought their customer service was excellent. I am sorry to say today I was really let down.
I went to the store and found something I wanted to buy. I took it up to the desk and was told it was out of stock but that confused me as I had it in my hands, taken from the shelf. It appears it was sold online and they did not take it off the shelf. I was initially disappointed but this changed to being extremely upset when they gave the excuses which I did not feel were valid. 1. Covid - they are open only two short periods during the week. How does Covid not make it possible to get orders off the shelf? 2. They do both online and in person selling - Then they should have someone take the orders off the shelf by the time they open the store each morning to in-person shopping or take it off the shelf by a dedicated online sales person when the orders come in. 3. The sales staff should not just laugh and make a joke when they say "Maybe try again in January it might be here". Who is to say that this situation will not happen again. Is there any guarantee that anything in the store is actually available for in-person shoppers.
I do not like to criticize without giving a suggestion on how to fix a problem. SUGGESTION Put a sign in the store saying due to being on online retailer some items on the shelves might be sold on line and therefore not available. Please check with staff before deciding to purchase.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is great. They have a terrific inventory of the highest quality and newest fabric, they have great sales and their website is easy to maneuver. It’s a pleasure to shop online. I haven’t found another Canadian retailer who can is operating at this level. They also have amazing customer service and go out of their way to make you a very satisfied customer. I wish all businesses operated like Dinkydoo. I honestly can’t stop shopping here.
