★ ★ ★ ★ ★ David is one of the few honest, caring and dedicated to perfectionism contractors that you will meet. He came to my home to listen to what I wished to renovate, gave me ideas, checked with his engineer and then gave me a detailed time frame and quote. He was punctual each morning and cleaned the work space each evening. He explained what he was doing each step of the process and consulted with us when a decision had to be made.
The only snag we had was with a supplier (someone I had found) and when he heard, he went out after work hours searching for another product that would be available - which was definitely above and beyond anything I expected from a contractor.
He even completed the entire renovations EARLY and I am so pleased with the outcome.
I highly recommend David to anyone thinking of hiring a craftsman.

We'd had terrible experiences with contractors in the past and I was wary of having someone in our home daily during the duration of the project. Dave ended up being an absolute breeze to deal with, though, and we couldn't be happier with how our basement turned out. He was always timely, hard working with high standards of his work, professional yet friendly, wonderful with our dog (super important!), and he always took the time to clean up after himself (greatly appreciated). We really have nothing but good things to say about working with Dave and would absolutely not hesitate to hire him again for any future projects. If you're looking for a quality, honest contractor, look no further than DH Home Designs!

His prices are fair and we appreciate the efforts he makes to respect our budget. He is knowledgeable and able to make suggestions about design and where to spend or save money. David has been super accommodating with my creative input, managing to make my vision a reality. We also love that he is neat and tidy and cleans up after himself. The dog likes him, too. David is our go-to contractor and we highly recommend him!
