About Desert Pita & Grill Ltd
All of the ingredients we use here at The Desert Pita & Grill are local. We stock our restaurant kitchen in much the same way that we stock our home kitchen, with fresh ingredients that we select ourselves.
All of our menu items were carefully chosen to reflect the varied and amazing cuisine of Lebanon. Some you may recognize, and some are new and different. Generations of families, including ours, have honed and perfected the traditional dishes that we are proud to present to you today.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've only had their donairs and they are really good. The regular size fills me up to that uncomfortable level. Good price for what you get and then I go to the Circle K for a mega pop and have a wicked lunch, all for around $10.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has been my favorite donair place in Calgary for many years. We drive across the city for this restaurant because it is worth it! They are consistent in great fresh food and it always tastes amazing! We met the owner today and he is friendly, warm and gave us free dessert! Definitely recommended, you will not be disappointed!!

Entire section of menu devoted to shwarma and finally it was available ?
Got a large eggplant wrap as everything has meat
Their definition of large is definitely different from mine
The pitas larger but the eggplant portion is exactly the same
WTH
Offer me toppings but most cost extra money
Lettuce and tomato
More of each veg than there is eggplant sadly
Other options started at 1$
Pickled beets, pickles, hot peppers were free but would alter the taste as eggplant isn't exactly powerfully flavourful
What sauce?
Well enlighten me as to what sauce you have....jeepers
So my "large pita" ends up completely fitting in one hand

My husband orders a chicken shwarma plate
Three times he has to remind the employee that it is a plate not a wrap
The employee turns to another and says he changed his mind and it's a plate
Umm no
You just didn't listen
my last visit there
Thought the third time could be the charm but instead it sunk them
Looks good but the only "large" thing about this is the pita itself

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Travelling through Calgary and happened to stop in at Desert Pita & Grill for dinner. I felt like I walked in someone’s house and felt so welcome. Excellent and delicious food at a great price but the hospitality makes it that much better.
