★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best sports store! Decathlon has its own brand for each sport and they have quality products. You pay a fraction of the price you would pay for major brands. However, don't expect a first class service or expert's advice. You have to know what are you looking for.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Returned a tent that was not used, due to me buying the wrong model & wanted to exchange & pay extra for a more expensive model.
The manager(older gentlemen), did not believe me that the tent was not used, use and repeatedly told me 15x that it was used & I kept repeating myself that no it was not. I then showed him that the bottom of the tent had no wear or dirt aswell as the inside of the tent.
Finally got to exchange the tent and payed extra for another tent after pleading my case. I HIGHLY recommend that you double check what tent you are buying prior to paying as I do not wish my experience to anyone else. Its crazy how a manager would assume that you are a lier before even checking if their is wear on a product.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large, clean store with every sport item you can imagine but not a big variety from what you can choose between. Quality is average and prices are decent. Had no problem exchanging and returning some things. The young kids working at the checkout are helpful, friendly and good workers. Inventory sells out pretty past so lots of empty shelves, especially for smaller seasonal items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I simply love Decathlon, my new to go spot for anything running/hiking related. It's a haven for anybody that loves sports of any kind. You find great quality gear and clothes for an affordable price compared to the more popular brands.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. Their self served checkout is also very high tech.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am definitely not very thrilled about the service i got in order to return a pair of aluminum cross country ski poles. The manager seemed to have a really hard time believing that the ski pole bent while using it.She told me bluntly she had never seen this happen! I She certainly made me feel cheap. I was kind of annoyed and told her; "Lady, Let me reassure you that i did not drive on the pole with my car". The pole bent like butter while i was on my second outing since sometimes when you ski you need to lean on them. To control the balance. I do lots of skiing and have a couple of other fiber poles which have never broken under the same strain. I got Aluminum poles precisely because i though they would be stronger than more expensive carbon composite ones. I just wanted to have a set handy to ski when i am in the office. Decathlon is my Wife's favourite sports store and we buy everything for our kids there. (Literally she has spent Hundreds of dollars there) Except with this type of treatment; i dont think it will be long before we switch to something with better quality and better return policy treatment from the staff! I rather pay more and get my stuff from places such as La Cordee, Sports Experts and MEC rather than setting foot on this place again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just discovered this inexpensive brand selling great quality of sport equipments, accessories and outfits. Got a small hiking bag for only $5 dollars and a pair of gym pants for $10. Very happy with the quality and purchase. Friendly and helpful staffs. All items are nicely organized in the store from different models to different sizes. Hope they open a branch in West Island of Montreal!
