About Dave's Truck & Crane Svc Ltd
Our Story
Dave's Truck & Crane has been servicing Calgary and Southern Alberta for over 10 years. Dave Filipchuk began the company with client satisfaction in mind, and by doing so has grown from one crane to a total of six cranes. Across Southern Alberta, our fleet has helped many construction and oil field companies get the job done.

Cranes range from small cranes designed for tight spaces, to the newest, a 40 ton crane that is perfect for big jobs or long hauls. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Extremely disappointed. We hired Dave's Truck & Crane Svc Ltd to move a stuccoed shed in our yard. I spoke with Dave a couple of times, sent him many pictures of the job. He discussed the job in depth with both my husband and myself, and he seemed to know what he was talking about. In hindsight, we should have had a consultation. He should have come and seen the job, but it's just a shed and he was using his biggest crane. He seemed like a nice, down to earth guy. Unfortunately when it came time to do the job his equipment and operator couldn't handle it. The operator claimed our 8' x 10" shed weighs 8000 lbs. This is of course ridiculous. He did nothing, but wanted to be paid 1/2 of the agreed amount. I wouldn't have paid him a cent, but my husband did give the operator 1/2 of what we agreed. I called Dave to find out what happened and he hung up on me. Needless to say we feel ripped off, and this guy is very unprofessional. Beware! The first red flag should have been when he offered to do the job for less if it was cash. Anyway, our shed is not moved and we are out money. Thanks for nothing Dave!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service itself was fine....it was the hidden fee of travel to the job site that he nails you with. Prices the job but does not inform you it does not included his travel time so will slap you with another couple hundred after the fact. Not cool ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If we could give no stars we would… operator lifted our forklift by top of cage, ripping it upwards and now making it not safe to use. Instead of offering his insurance, he got in truck and ran away… then still sent us a bill for travel time!! They need to do the right thing and give us their insurance details!
