Very poor service at this location specifically. I was thinking about using this company for renting a scissor lift to help assist with my day to day warehouse work, after what I just witnessed this company will never get my business. The manager had a innocent man arrested outside the building just for walking down the road! Yes...just going for a walk. Very poor management at this location

Despite being listed as the United Rental location for power tools in Calgary, the Blackfoot branch does not actually stock any on the premises. Rental tools are shipped down from Edmonton (or further), so don't expect to show up at the building and just rent something (as I did). Further, while the United Rental website lists a wide variety of power tools, it doesn't mention that not all tools are available locally. In my case, the nearest unit of the item I was trying to rent was located in Nanaimo. The woman at the rental desk assured me that it was still possible to rent the tool, but that she'd have to look into it. She took my name and phone number, and promised to phone me with the details. That was over a week and a half ago. No one at United Rental bothered to get back to me. It could very well have turned out that it wasn't financially viable to get the tool in (although you'd expect a company that relies on shipping items from central depots to have that sorted out). It could be that United simply wasn't interested in my business as a non-commercial customer. Whatever the reason, phoning to let me know (as promised) would have been the professional & courteous thing to do. Will not attempt to use United Rental again. Cannot not recommend them due to the lack of even basic customer service.

Yes they have a good price but they going to millk every penny they can from you And they already have very bad reviews If your looking for rentals companies go for sunbelt they care about you and wont make you pay more if your late. The guy in front deski went for him after a month to drop an aerator I went to ask him I was late 3 days I wanted to talk about it how much they gonaa charge me he didn't want to talk he just pointed to dropping area I went to drop it and when I came back to ask whats going on he was already closing the account and charged my credit without telling me how much it coast They made me pay 3 days cuz I was late 3 days 291 dollars a he didn't say that I can take it for another week by 1 dollar more When i went first time to the disk to ask what going on he pointed it to the dropping area Went to drop it came back to ask how much he didn't say anything just charged my credit And said I cant open the account back But the other guy said we can open and fix it The other guy he was respectful and professional Not same the other guy didn't want to even talk And I was telling him man do you see the snow outside I didn't use it his like no no I dont see the snow outside like a kid This guy just wanted to go home and didn't want to do any offers Didn't want to even talk In the end they made me pay for 3 days that I didn't use it for So unprofessional and my little brother is more respectful than the guy in front desk and his not growing up yet

This company has little or no respect for the community or neighborhood in which they reside. They feel as if the City Of Calgary By-Laws, do not apply to them. There is a By-Law in Calgary that states "The storage yard of any business in Calgary cannot be visible from any Major Roadway". The United Rentals Shop, located on Blackfoot Trail (a Major Roadway) continues to thumb their nose at this By-Law. I live in the community of Fairview and my home is located directly across Blackfoot Trail from them. Their location used to have about 50, 30 year old trees that would shield the storage yard from the sight of Blackfoot Trail and the Fairview community. One day they decided to cut down ALL of these Beautiful Mature Trees (approximately 50 of them) and then put ALL of their Man lifts up in the air for everyone to see. What an EYESORE to all of the people in the Fairview community, to see the Skyline filled with Man lifts. The City Of Calgary Planning Division gave them a Slap On The Wrists and told them they need to Hide their Storage Yard and keep their lifts lower then the Horizon. To do this they were made to replace the trees. The problem now is that the replacement trees are very young and will take 10 years or more to equal what they carelessly removed. Also after a while, they become complacent and start putting their Man lifts towering into the Sky. Today I count at least 15 of them POLLUTING the Sky Line! I will be contacting the City Of Calgary planning division once again to report them. Trouble is I have been dealing with this for years now. I report them, they comply then after a short time they do what ever they want and the process starts all over again. This time I am letting the public know... This Company feels it is more important for everyone to see their industrial equipment then a bunch of 30 to 40 yr old trees. Trees that were homes to many wild life species, birds nests etc. Or even to be a good neighbor and abide by the By-Laws! They will always be my last choice for rental equipment. If you love trees, you should be as appalled as I am and let them know how you feel!

Phoned and talked to one of their sales representatives ,I was told that they had an electric forklift available. This was not the case after I drove to their office to give them my credentials. This place is seriously lacking in customer satisfaction. Time and money waster.

I have no idea why the reviews of this store are so negative . I recently rented a plate tamper and had a fantastic experience . Tamper was brand new worked perfectly. Front end staff were amazing and the return was as painless as I have ever experienced. Don't let the bad reviews scare you. Absolutely a smooth easy transaction. I highly recommend united rentals to anyone wanting a great experience with equipment rentals. Thanks a bunch United rentals?

I rented a Bobcat with a breaker attachment from United Rentals and they gave me the highest quality customer service. They were ready for me first thing in the morning, as I loaded the Bobcat on my trailer, I realized that I was not going to be able to transport the equipment, quickly the United Rental staff provided a flatbed trailer so I could take the equipment with me. Jeff, the person who works in the office was incredibly nice and allowed us to park our trailer at their facility for a day and Rick, one of the workers who works in the operations yard, was super helpful and lent a hand in strapping down the Bobcat and securing it properly for travel. I highly recommend renting construction equipment from this company, I will definitely be back.
