I had a hard time finding skates that fit so these guys helped me out and even heat molded them for me! Reasonably priced and excellent equipment knowledge makes for a quick and easy stop! They are way out of my way but its worth the drive for the quality service!

They are the only ice skating/hockey specialists I know of in Vancouver. With several stores thoughout the lower mainland, I wouldn't buy skates anywhere else if you want a quality pair that are properly fitted. Their store on Oak St has been there for decades. They have the inventory to fit most budgets but also carry the higher end stuff. Usually at Cdn Tire you won't spend much more than $100, at Sport Check you can spend upwards of $200 for a little more specialization, but Cyclone Taylor's are the experts and the only ones who carry the $1200 pro skates. You do get what you pay for though in terms of service, product knowledge, sizing, and fitting. Just think of it this way: they've been in business forever, this is all they do... they must be good at it!

Do not go if you have small children hoping to be fitted for their very own pair of hockey skates. I had been coming here many years ago for my little brother and had great experiences. Fast forward to today, I had hoped that I'd have the same experiences with my own boys. The shop was busy as usual (it was 3pm on a Sunday in September and I know it's the start of the season). It was ok as we are in not rush. Unfortunately, they didn't even want to measure my kids' feet and was told to go to Sport Chek. Yes, we were very much aware of Canadian Tire, Sport Chek and Pro Hockey Life, thanks. We may have better luck with larger sizes in the future. But, by the disapponted looks on my children's faces, they aren't going to step foot in this store ever again. We also needed a cage for one of our helmets but didn't bother. This was not the same Cyclone Taylor shop 5-10 years ago. The 2 star review was for the helpful "tip", though we did not buy from Sport Chek.

review date: september 10, 2017 i'm from ontario and was doing research for the bauer 2017 flex warm-up pants. i would like to share my CTS shopping experience. back in august 2017, the only outfits that were coming up on google search for what i wanted were us-based sites. while i was prepared to buy from the states, if i can get a reasonable price and the item i want from canada, i will keep my dollars here. as a customer, it pays to shop around to get what you want at a fair price. to CTS' credit, (cts price match guarantee) they were willing go that extra mile, price matching on a competitor and special/back ordering specific colours i was looking for that weren't originally available. throughout all communications, justin taylor was very professional and caring, as if it was his own personal order, doing whatever it took to provide answers, and satisfaction. information updates were quick and timely. i ended up being able to get what i wanted at an even better price than the california website, factoring in extra duty fees and exchange difference. i just got my gear today, and the pants overall were worth the time and effort to purchase. (there were back-ordered items that had to be brought in from bauer to CTS b4 shipping) CTS, esp. justin, your customer service is greatly appreciated because here in ontario there is a lot of room for improvement with many of the retailers, to be polite. that being said, the next time you are in the market for hockey-related gear, give CTS a chance to earn your business. and if you don't see something on their website, inquire with CTS because they just might be able to get whatever it is for you. review update: august 25, 2018 this is an add-on to the original review. we did another hockey apparel deal for 2018. bauer flex pants CCM ballcaps and 9fifty bauer/new era ballcaps were ordered in late july and were received in mid-august. these were custom back-ordered items that to be clear, was not the fault of cts for the time delay. upon receiving the items my friend, son and i are very pleased with the pants and hats. we have gotten and will most likely receive many compliments. thanks to justin taylor, (and his cts people) for his care and concern in doing everything he could to make the deal a pleasant shopping experience. ? cts does price match with proof on qualified items. they also offer free shipping upon reaching spending thresholds. for more information, review their website. thank you CTS for making that extra effort to get custom items that southern ontario retailers are unwilling or too lazy to bother with! ? cheers to CTS-BC from southern ontario.

Been going to this location for over 25 years. The staff are knowledgeable for all hockey equipment and they do the best skate sharpenings In the city.

I have been a customer of Cyclone's for years, always receiving great service and advice from the knowledgeable staff. Great place to go for hockey talk and browse the latest in gear selection. Growing up, I had a lot of friends and teammates who were staff there, adding another reason to visit!

I’ve only gone into this store a couple of times. This was the first time going in on my own and I felt a little intimidated since I had no idea what to expect. A young staff member named Mathew was extremely nice. I’m not even overly exaggerating this but he actually spent so much time helping me that I felt I needed to write up a review. In case you’re thinking I must have spent a lot for him to be acting this way… nope , I just purchased black tape for less than $3. Thank you Cyclone Taylor for hiring this man!

Friendly staff, great selection of goods, competitive pricing and excellent service from the knowledgeable staff. Their skate sharpening is the most consistent of any shop I've been to. Been coming here for many years and always leave happy with the staff and service.
