CTS Ottawa Movers

These guys DID NOT SHOW UP! Did not call, I had to squat in my home for an additional night until I could make other arrangements on the busiest moving day of the year. DO NOT HIRE THEM!

Do not hire these guys!!!!. I hired them for a move at 9:30 at my location and asked specifically for a large truck. The owner didn't show up at 9:30 and did not call. I called owner at 10:00 and he said that he will arrive in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later nobody came. I called again and was told again that they need another 20 minutes. Waited again and nothing.... FInally they showed up at 11:45. However the boss Mat showed up with a small truck. Martin (the boss) did NOT care to let me know in the morning that he doesn't have the big truck as promised, and instead kept lying to me that he will be there in 20 minutes, since 9:30. So he shows up with this small truck and makes lame excuses that he had to pick up the third guy for the move and that his big truck wasn't ready for today. I REALLY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THIS. As a professional mover you supposed to let me know in advance. Either way I had no options then to move with the guys since I couldn't find anybody in that short notice. Half away through the move, his drivers than disappeared for 1 hour. Of course I was charged for it. There was no professional work done with moving the appliances or furniture. My stairs got scratched and damaged and at the end he was complaining that he did not make any money from me.... AGAIN, DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS. MAT IS A BIG LYER.

Matt and the boys were fantastic... I had just a small move of some staging furniture (Im a Realtor). They insisted on wrapping everything in protective plastic and blankets, and we were only going 20 min. away. I will keep the number handy as I will pass it on to my buyers for their moves. I was quite impressed!

The move was very quick and I regret not being able to review more positively but I can't for two reasons. First, I understood the rate to be $90/hour plus a one hour charge for travel. My door-to-door move took less than 45 minutes. (I have no furniture and moved 6 minutes down the road... unique but it is what it is). I expected a $180 charge and was charged $270, and being a student the difference is significant. I don't really want to get into the second issue because it's too uncomfortable for me but I guess just unprofessionalism.

I contacted these movers to do a move on the 31st at 5pm. The price was good for the move and initially they were very friendly. 2 days before my move they called me 3 times, which I was working so I could not respond to, and asked if I would like to move a day earlier in the middle of the day. I already had told them that I needed a specific day and time when initially booking. The message they sent was: “Hi, I have tried to call many times today regarding your move and left few voice mails and few messages, if I didnt recieve any response or a call I would like to go ahead and cancel your reservations and add somebody else. Kindly contact me asap” I responded to cancel the reservation, per the text above, as that was not the day nor time I had requested. I ended up having family help me move. I hadn’t spoken to these movers in 3 days when out of the blue they texted me this message: “ You did cancelled your reservation yesterday by yourself! it was your instruction to us to cancel the booking!! I am wondering and surprise why you guys doing this!! You did a fraud fault review and I will be taking it further with the right team in google. I would like to ask you to remove the faulty add asap. Thx ” I responded as I had never posted about this company on google reviews nor do I use google reviews often. I have been moving for the past day and a half. He then accused me of being the review above ^ (Georgia Blue) and said I made a fake name to make his company look bad and he would report me. He insisted multiple times when I told him it wasn’t me that it was and so I informed him then I would go ahead and post a negative google review because of him threatening and accusing me over something I didn’t do. He also threatened the other customer that posted the review and called them many things, and “after 6 hours of investigations” reported them to google under their account and name but attached my phone number. Although the initial interaction was good, following up and threatening and accusing customers is probably not smart. Getting negative and positive reviews is part of business. I really would not recommend this moving company.

It’s unfortunate that I can’t give CTS Ottawa Movers more than 5 stars. During our move, the weather got really bad and it started to get rainy with some wind so the roads got all muddy, however CTS Ottawa movers placed runners and blankets all around the house to keep it clean and managed to get our move done without any scratches or damages to our hard wood flooring. Our moving was really big and should have took 3 trips in the truck however, Mr. Matt and his crew made it possible in 2 trips which saved us a lot of money. One of Matt’s movers was a very clever, strong and well rounded person. His name is Sam. He’s very knowledgeable and an experienced mover. He first started working for Sam’s Moving, and now he works for CTS Ottawa. Surprisingly at the end of the move, Mr. Matt brought with him a beautiful rose flower as a gift to congratulate us for our new house. All my family was grateful and appreciative to Mr. Matt and Sam. I would greatly recommend anyone that reads this review books their move with this company as they go above and beyond. PS: Mr. Matt is now my best friend

Really great experience, coordinating this move was fast and easy. The movers were punctual and were very kind. They took extra care with delicate and heavy appliances (300lbs clawfoot tub). Would recommend this company and will most likely use their services again!

Fantastic Ottawa moving company. I used them in the past and will be using them the next time I move. Extremely professional and very detail orientated.
