I’ve lived in a Cromewell Management building up on Avenue Rd. for about four years now and I can say with confidence that they are a very good management company. I’ve had two landlords over that time and both are great at what they do and friendly to work with. The few times I’ve interacted with the staff at their offices they’ve been helpful and my apartment building is very well maintained. Even in the past when there have been issues with noise or smoking, they’ve handled it very quickly and with the utmost care. I’ve lived in six other apartments over the years and this is the first one I can see myself staying in for a long period and part of that is because its managed well so thank you to Cromwell.

This is truly a horrible management company. They do not care about their tenants. They started repairing our balconies last summer and then they messed up on the railings so we have no access to private outdoor space during a pandemic and they decided it was a good time to tear out every single inch of the property and jackhammer all summer long while we are confined to our apartments, working from home, with no balconies to enjoy fresh air in the evenings when the deafening construction finally ends for the day. We've finally been informed that the balconies will be completed at the very end of the summer. Making these choices during a global pandemic is inhumane and cruel and when tenants have complained they simply tell us to move out. They do not act in good faith and simply want to drive everyone out so they can renovate the apartments and increase the prices. I recommend finding a company that won't participate in ruthless tactics that purposefully destroy your well being.

Cromwell doesn't act in good faith with their tenants. They will not advise tenants as to timelines for construction or reno projects. They keep their superintendent in the dark on most matters too. If you call their office the staff is not knowledgeable with respect to project timelines or work assigned to contractors. The construction crew is taking full advantage of their ignorance by milking projects as long as they can.

Worst! Not friendly for the renters. Reception and account staff especially at the Toronto office for 6200 Bathurst is very rude and not professional at all.

Unprofessional, horrible, heartless management company ever existed in the world. They do not care about the tenants, and they are not happy with their jobs. You can tell from their tone that they absolutely hate service job, so I do not understand why they even work at the management company. They never respond to your call. At least receptionist will pick up a call, but she is awfully rude and impatient. Once directed to property manager or accounting department, then no one responds. Even I left a massage to call me back, they will not. You have to call them again! And even if they respond this time, their attitude is the the worst. Garbage-level service! Also, they decided to renovate the balcony before the COVID-19 pandemic, and took them almost one-and-half years to complete it. So I have to experience all the construction noises while I have to work from home!! This is extremely inhumane thing to do. Furthermore, the room was unprofessionally finished and dirty, when I moved in to this room, but they expect us to clean the room before moving out? That sounds like a joke to me. They are lazy and do not want to do anything, and simply take money from the tenants. The only good thing about this company is the superintendent for my apartment is very nice, hard-working and always dedicated to help the tenants.

Extremely unprofessional! The superintendent for 1500 Bathurst St, Tereasa, is probably the rudest person I have ever dealt with in my life and don't even bother calling Cromwell to complain-chances are they will reason with her. Natasha, which is Nolan Rodrigues assistant, which is the property manager, is another issue!!!!! When you call their office she is extremely dismissive and useless. Overall terrible experience on several occasions. Would highly recommend avoiding any building that is under Cromwell Management.

Not a great experience. I am a resident at the Avenue and Eglinton building in Toronto. The company decided to do upgrades to the balcony in the middle of a pandemic and close it down.Although one might assume in good faith that upgrades cannot be postponed, The Rating reflects that the company did not consider carrying out a phased closure to limit disruption during the pandemic or provide any other alternatives to tenants. There is no justification for completely shutting down balconies on front side when work is being carried out on the rear side of the building or vice versa. This means that the company and the employees responsible did not consider or chose to willfully ignore the impacts during the pandemic when many families are still stuck working from home, many with little kids and did not care about limiting impacts to the tenants during a challenging time. Be wary of companies like these that do not care about the well being of their tenants and only care about your rent.

As a neighbour to Cromwell's building at 2 Clarendon Ave, we have had to endure noise, dirt, and disruption to our neighbourhood as a full renovation on the building was completed. At no point over the 4 years of renovation and construction did Cromwell apprise neighbours of what was going on, acknowledge or apologize for the dirt, noise, delays etc. that resulted from this prolonged renovation. In fact there has never been any communication whatsoever from the company in the 30 years we have spent in the neighbourhood. The renovation is complete, but now we no have to endure the daily (7 day a week) groan of a leaf blower for at least a half an hour starting at around 8am, no matter if it is raining or sunny, if there is snow on the ground or its snowing out, if it is winter, fall, spring or summer. We still get the significant noise and air pollution that comes from their leaf blower. The overall lack of communication and responsiveness in dealing with this issue would appear to be indicative of the lack of respect and regard this company has towards the community in which it operates.
