Cool Camper Rentals

Great travel with this very cool camper van! we went all around the island for 10 days, the van was easy to drive and very comfy at night. We were afraid we wouldn't sleep well, but the cushions are clouds. Yes, it's a simple van, but it was perfect for us. Owner was really nice, and he maintains very well its fleet. Only downside is the gaz consumption (around 300$ for 8 days of road), but well, its an old van, so it was expected!

Cool Campers were an absolute dream to communicate with prior to my trip to Victoria, super responsive and welcoming from start to finish. My son and I enjoyed the best weekend away and created special memories that will last forever. Thank you to the team at Cool Campers for everything, I will booking a camper again soon.

What a dreamy camping experience! We came to Victoria for our vacation, and we decided to rent a camper rather than tenting it. Cool campers set us up with a really nice camper van for a great price! It was cozy and had just what we needed for a wonderful trip! Will definitely be renting here again on our next trip!

Not bad. The contract could be more clear. We ended up getting charged for incidentals (stone hit the windshield), so keep that in mind. From our $500 deposit we only got about $150 back, despite bringing it back spotless and rushing home early to accommodate them renting it the next day. The van we received had about 200,000km on it and the sliding door often jammed trapping us inside or locking us out. We discovered the plastic panel was sticking out just a bit, causing the door to get stuck on its rails. The locks were all a bit fussy, actually. No power locks can be frustrating on the road, especially when they're a bit gummy. I think it's a poor choice to include glassware among the kitchen supplies and not surprisingly, one of them broke while we were driving. They're jammed into a drawer in the back and rattle around for lack of a secure place to put them. We got charged another $5 for that. Pretty sure all the plates/glasses/cookware came from a combination of dollar stores and thrift shops. Received the van and the washer fluid was filled with water, which was annoying as it was completely ineffective until we bought our own and replaced it. The van's front passenger wheel made very loud rattling sounds. Could not determine the cause. The brakes were very much in need of replacement as well and were 'squealing' from day 1. Had to bring it to Kal Tire early on as the tires were improperly inflated. They balanced for us; two were over pressure and one was well under. As for features, it's basically just a van with a cabinet in the back and a roll-up mattress that goes over top. One side has shelves for the cooking equipment, gas, kitchen supplies, etc. The other side is a flip open storage space. There isn't enough room to sit in there without hunching over as the cabinet + the mattress bring you close to the ceiling. They've added dollar store things like LED lights (ours didn't work) and curtains. There isn't a curtain for the front end of the vehicle, so you have to figure that out on your own. Driver and passenger seating was very comfortable for long drives. The aftermarket stereo makes it easy to hook up whichever audio device you want to bring. Lastly, the sink is just a piece of wood with an old RV sink on it. They give you a tube so you can drain it away from the vehicle. Not very eco friendly, just spits the soapy water onto the ground. Didn't use it at all. In fact, I'm pretty sure most campgrounds around here have rules against dumping grey water onto the dirt. We gave it a full detail before bringing it back and even rushed home so they could fix it and rent it out to the next person. No thank you, just a bill for the windshield, the gas we used and the broken glass. Van also comes with a full load of camping supplies - BBQ, wal-mart tent, camping chairs, gas stove, two coolers, a nice big air mattress, etc. All the Coleman/Ozark stuff you'd find at Canadian Tire or Wal mart. All in all, a reliable vehicle that could have used a bit more maintenance before it was given to us. At about $100 a day (plus any incidentals you incur) it doesn't hit the wallet too hard, but you most certainly get what you pay for. Don't expect anything more than a utilitarian experience. They're a small business and could handle the contract/expectations better.

Awesome camping experience , vans are equipped with bbq and cooktop stove along with kitchen supplies , and plenty of storage. Great for a couples getaway. We explored Strathcona park and onto Tahsis and the van was perfect for a glamping experience on the rugged west coast. It was very easy dealing with cool campers. Drop off and pick up were made easy with no stress.

Had a great week, the van was in good shape and I was able to explore the Island. The vans are older but well maintained. The conversation is basic but perfect for camping. Shawn was great to deal with. I flew into Victoria from the Yukon and had no problem getting to the meet point from the airport.

Had a great time with the van from cool campers. Had everything I needed for my 3 week adventure. Staff were very kind and helpful. Can’t say enough good things about my time with cool campers. I will definitely be renting from them again. Thanks cool campers for a great vacation
