I've parked my car in front of a building that I live in, which Colyvan Pacific manages, with a sitting insurance on my car. Few days after, someone left a note on my car that it'll be towed because of expired insurance, so I called Colyvan Pacific and explained that I do have insurance and they forwarded me to one of their representatives to submit an email and proof of insurance. I sent her an email with all the necessary proof and explanation, and she never got back to me. In the meantime I left for work (shift work up North), and when I came back, guess what? The car was towed. Absolutely useless and unresponsive management. Not to mention that my catalytic converter got stolen in the same parking lot, my boyfriends tire got slashed, neighbours windows got smashed - absolutely no security for the residents provided!! But they'll sure tow your car away.

I have been dealing with Nick Smith in Nanaimo. I know management is a tough gig, but Nick is professional and attentive. Nice work!

Mathew is the guy to talk to. Very prompt and helpful individual. Great service. Even I had issues in the past but day and night difference now.

Would give a 0 if the option was possible. Their Ambrose building in Port Coquitlam is an absolute mess; especially for a brand new building. Looks like there has been zero exterior maintenance since they broke ground. Wouldn’t let my dog walk through that Amazon of a front lawn, who knows what lurks below the 2 foot high weeds and grass. Clearly a company who doesn’t care what their properties look like for their residence or the surrounding neighborhood. Shame.

Colyvan managed my strata for about 10 years. In that time, we had 6 property manager changes (maternity leaves, managers leaving the company). We finally left them after they missed my strata's 10-year warranty review. There was no continuity every time we changed property managers. Clearly there was no schedule on file for my strata (seriously, missing a warranty review altogether?!). Every manager had their own way of doing things, and it was like we were switching companies every time. Council had to repeatedly ask for the same things year-after-year. It was a very slow process getting quotes for services we needed and changes we wanted to make to our buildings. The vendors they found us often did terrible work (window washing, landscaping, carpet cleaning). Council members had to take on a lot more work while we were managed by Colyvan from writing our notices, letters to owners (because business writing is not the managers' strength), constantly following up with projects we had on the go, keeping on top of asking for typical maintenance activities (clearing the stacks, parkade washing, window washing, etc). Despite our requests to have the same property managers upon their returns from maternity leaves or being assigned a manager with more experience, our requests always fell on deaf ears.

Worst property management company we've ever dealt with. The accounting department obviously didn't check the authorization form and can't even tell the different between 2 bank accounts (different institution - TD Canada Trust and CIBC). They withdrew monthly maintenance fee out from wrong bank account. We put stopped payment on that account and they charged us NSF fee because they couldn't withdrawn the $ AGAIN in the following month. We emailed and told them the reason for STOP was the wrong account and they kept insisted that we authorized them to do so, yet the account written on the authorized form was clearly indicated which bank account should be withdrawn from. The property manager didn't respond. The assistant manager didn't seem to want to get involve when we called him. He told us to talk to the accounting clerk (who clearly didn't understand what we told her). Things have been back and forth almost a week and nothing has been solved. Got responded from Kyla within 1 hour and she was so helpful to fix the problem. Will check our bank account later to find out if the Pre-authorize withdrawn is gone through. Thanks Kyla.

Working with Joanne & team is terrific! When the pandemic hit, they made a seamless transition online to keep us all in the loop. Great list of contractors in just about every field, too. Strong people skills & well organized, too - our Strata has prospered with their support & knowledge.

Use literally any other company. Colyvan can't even secure maintenance services, been in a brand new building for nearly a year and haven't had the lawn cut. Completely overgrown everywhere on the property, looks like a foreclosed building. In a great area yet somehow we're the only building in the municipality with 2 foot long grass. Took 6 months to even get janitorial services, there was trash everywhere until enough people protested. Complete and total incompetence. Photos below:
