Cochrane Golf Club

A little gem! Definitely on my list of home courses! Pretty course, 9 holes only, can play twice for 18. Love the price and available tee times. We keep coming back for the challenge and the incredible views! The staff are really easygoing here and keep it pretty polite with starting and pacing players. They treat people kindly with a great attitude. I've played here lots and keep going back because of the great service, price and fun staff they have working on the course. Thanks so much for making it a great experience every time!

We booked 3 x foursomes. Since the the time we teed off, to the time we arrived back at the club house, the marshalls and the staff harassed us. They bugged us about rate of play, even though we had to wait for the group ahead of us. The Marshall asked us for proof of purchase on hole 3, even though that was confirmed at hole 1. Which, is very insulting and tacky. We will never be golfing here again and would not recommend golfing here if you want have fun. DO NOT GOLF HERE - also, I never post reviews unless the experience is absolutely awful.

Great local course….too bad the course Marshall and player assistant absolutely ruin anything good about this course. Someone needs to remind them that this isn’t Gleneagles….even your website says this course is great if “you’re looking for a couple hours of fun, kick back casual golf” - apparently staff didn’t get that memo and think they are working at Pebble Beach. Having golfed all over the world, I understand the etiquette of the game very well (to say the least)…and have played the game for 15+ years. I’ve never had a starter warn me about “pace of play” on the first hole….and the second hole…and the third hole….then to suggest that the friends I am playing with would be better off at the driving range…glad you’re so supportive of welcoming newcomers to the sport of golf (not!). Needless to say this was not an enjoyable round of golf. Felt like the course Marshall was breathing down our necks the entire round. Takes a lot of fun out of the game! I’ll pay the extra and stick to Gleaneagles next time….at least their course Marshall doesn’t make you feel unwelcome and completely ruin the wonderful game that is golf! You might want to change your website to say “if you’re looking for a couple hours of fun, kick back casual golf…don’t look here!”

The course is nice and inside staff good but outdoor Marshall was extremely rude and aggressive. Entirely ruined our experience there. He said we were two holes behind when in fact there were still people on the fairway in front of us. Came right up to Mt husband got right in his face and yelled "do you have a problem with me" when he had not said anything. This aggression made our whole group feel unwelcome and frankly afraid. When we discussed with the management they just blew us off. This is a definite miss on your golfing plans

The course is quite nice and not too challenging so a good place for beginners, like myself, to get a grasp of the game. However, my experience yesterday with my dad and my brother was a little off. We had a tee time at 3:30 and we got the course at 3:24, definitely cutting it close but not late. We live in Calgary so with all the construction it was a little longer of a drive than expected. But we apologize if we cut it too close to our tee time. I went inside to pay and we were supposed to have a group of 4 but there was a last minute cancellation and we ended up only being 3 and I apologized to the front desk staff. And I'm sorry again I know now that I should call ahead. We got to the tee at exactly 3:30 where we were met by a pretty unhappy course marshal who was pressuring us to hurry up when we were not late or anything. My dad, after we all hit our tee shots said have a nice day and she ignored him with an unhappy look on her face. We were feeling quite bad at this point but we couldn't help but notice that we were not late to our tee time, the group behind us was not even at the tee yet and the group ahead was just getting onto the green of the first hole. As we played on another course marshal kept telling us to hurry up on holes 1, 2, and 3. Once again as we passed by my dad tried to be friendly and asked how the marshal's day was going and he was ignored and instead received a hand motion to just keep on going and to hurry up. I'm a brand new golfer and so is my little brother it was really stressful playing and we couldn't focus on the game or our shots with the constant reminders that we were playing slow or we needed to hurry up when there was NO pressure from the group behind us. We actually caught up with the group ahead of us at hole 7 where we had to wait for them to tee off. Honestly it was not an enjoyable experience on the golf course yesterday. Once again we're sorry if we did something completely wrong, but I can't wrap my head around it when we weren't even late teeing off, or were ever holding up the group behind us. In the future maybe treat your customers with a little more kindness. I would say to people looking to golf here maybe look elsewhere.

Excellent golf course for 9 holes. Easy to walk or take a power cart. They have taken the Covid-19 measures seriously and make it easy for everyone to enjoy their round of golf.

Pretty brown still for this late in May. Buyer beware! The rates for tee times are wrong on the website. When I booked it showed a regular rate of $38 and the one I selected was a hot deal for $30.99. Our group drove over 50 minutes to play and the course did not honor those rates, but charged us $44. Fred was not willing to budge and said that there were problems earlier in the year with their online booking, but that it was all correct now. Bunch of baloney!!!!!

Had a fantastic first round of golf for the year! Also first time on this course! Great greens and actually a rather challenging course! Thanks again to Lorne and James for the great night! Special kiddos to Brad for attention to all details with course management!
