On the way back to Calgary from Vancouvber, battery light was on. Lucky, we were approaching Kamloops. Went to Canadxxx Tire, I was told to book an appointment for 5 days later. I explained my situation, still she could only book appointment for me 5 days later. Rediculous. At that time, battery light was off, so keep going. After about 10 km driving, battery light was on again. Searched with google, found City Certre Auto Service. So I drove back to Kamloops. Talked to Keith, he diagnosed the problem in a short time, and gave me the urgent repaire and test. I was able to be home at midnight without cancelling my schedules on the second day. I am sure it delayed other work of Keith. Many thanks.

It is clear that City Centre Auto is committed to providing exceptional quality and high value services to their customers. Their customer service is outstanding; they always take the time to clearly detail where every dollar has gone in the bill and have gone above and beyond (at their expense) to keep the final cost as close to their initial quote as possible. Furthermore, their mechanics have personally come to the front desk with the part they've replaced to explain exactly the issue they found, and how they had remediated it. And if that wasn't enough, every time I have picked up my vehicle from City Centre Auto, the interior has been detailed! As a busy working family, we are so appreciative of the entire team at City Centre Auto Service. I could not recommend them enough!

After using this business for years with great results I was very disappointed that they are not interested in maintaining my business or their integrity. My car broke down, they spent over $1400 and replaced perfectly good parts trying to fix the car. Then it broke down a week later in another town, costing a large tow bill to an unknown mechanic. He found the problem was a defective or damaged part that City Center had installed. He assured me they would reimburse me and accept responsibility because β€œthese things happen to all of us”. No such luck. Keith at City Centre admitted it was their fault for causing me more expense and would work with me to find a resolution and a refund but the manager/owner refused. What was a $400 part and an easy installation wound up costing me over $2300 plus being stranded in another town at Christmas. Maybe had I been demanding they would have been fair. Just really let down. They used to be the best but I’ve heard from a few other people they don’t really care about their customers unless everything is quick and easy.

Have not been there yet to do our winter tires , but will be this month. The owners are incredibly kind , helpful and very informative. Their prices are also very reasonable.

I had been using City Center for a while but I can't any longer. This is a retroactive review from an occurrence that happened in July of 2020 A day after our car had an out of province inspection done there, we were driving down the Coquilhalla on a roadtrip when the car stopped accelerating. Trying to restart the car sounded awful, the engine sounded completely broken. Of course this happened on a Friday night. We got it towed to the closest shop. Monday morning they inspected the vehicle and gave us the bad news: "The the timing belt idler pulley wasn't torqued properly and walked itself off, its an interface engine so the pistons hit the valves and destroyed the engine. We took off the cover and could see the idler pulley for the timing belt was not attached, the belt was slack" Obviously I can't prove it was City Center, but everything seems to add up that City Center was the culprit. The mechanic in Squamish said they don't want to throw any other fellow mechanics under the bus, but that was most definitely the precursor event. I just can't return here for any more repairs. I'm sure everyone there means well and 99% of the time the work is done with precision and attention to detail. This was an unfortunate experience that shouldn't have happened and for that reason I cannot return. Edit: I stated it was a retroactive review. Vehicle was VW Passat Wagon. $130,000km. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at $120,000km.
