AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I really wish I read the reviews before ordering from this place on door dash, in my defence the photos looked somewhat alright so I caved. I ordered the chimichanga, expecting a deep fried burrito that is warm, ended up being cold. I guess it’s all microwaved. The entire thing was flavourless and bland, and the funny taste set in after the fifth bite so I quit eating. After reading how unsafe the food handling practices are here, it all makes sense and im horrified. Yikes.

I usually don't write reviews but this place is really bad. They had a guy and girl working, they are both slow and both watch eachother struggle. None of them took the initiative to ring my order in, one worker was struggling while the other was watching doing nothing (could have helped rang in food or help cook) that inturned slowed everything down even more. I ordered the chicken "Monster" burrito only to find a burrito filled with beans and rice and just a tiny bit of chicken inside the wrap. Which cost $15!!! Definitely not worth, basically buying a canned bean and rice wrap for $15. To top it off, they have covered the whole burrito in some sort of mystery sauce that was not appetizing and made me sick afterwards and I ended up not finishing it and threw it away. I am assuming monster does not mean the size, but the grotesque look of the burrito themselves. I saw the emoloyees used their bare hands to handle fooda nd handle money from other customers. They had ingredients that should have either been in a heat warmer or ice bath, they basically had the food at room temperature out all day so bacteria can grow. Definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. Worst mexican food I've ever had, if not the worse food I ever had, would not even feed this to my dog.

If I could give this place -100 stars I would. I was starving from the hike and saw this place in the market and let me tell you, when I opened up my food. I lost my appetite right away. It was DISGUSTING. it felt like prison food and I’ve never been in prison. I threw up right after it. It was so bad, that I am to the point that I truly feel that they literally don’t deserve a cent for that meal. DISGUSTINGGG. Don’t let the line cloud your judgement!!!

TLDR: terrible quality, not food-safe, and rude customer service I went to Cilantro and JalapeΓ±o today hoping to eat some good quality Mexican food and was extremely disappointed. When I approached the counter, neither one of the employees offered to take my order, or even acknowledged me for that matter, despite one of them standing right at the counter doing nothing. Eventually, the other employee made his way over to the till. However, once he got to the counter, he still did not acknowledge me and instead occupied himself with something else. After some time, he finally asked me what I wanted. I was a complete second thought and I considered leaving at this point. I ended up ordering the Monster Burrito, which is $15.00, so I expected it to be quite good--it was not. First, the contents of the burrito were scooped into it from open containers that were sitting on the island of the kitchen at room temperature. They should have at the very least been heated to prevent bacteria growth. Furthermore, the person making my food was not wearing gloves and did not wash his hands once the entire time. Next, my food was slammed into a microwave and when it was done, was dropped into the takeout container. My burrito--which was at this point falling apart--was then drenched in their enchilada sauce and crema, which surprise surprise were both sitting on the counter completely exposed at room temperature. Now, being the foolish person that I am, I actually ate this absolute mess--well, at least half of it. Obviously, having been microwaved, it was cold in some parts and warm in others. The cheese was still hard as it didn't melt in the microwave. Overall, the flavour was bland and the whole thing was a soupy mess. I will not be returning.

Friendly but noticed the portions are getting smaller and missing tortilla chips from the chimichanga!

Omg. The best most freshest mexican food I ever had. So delicious, so fresh. I had a veggie chimichanga. So so good. Can't wait to go back and have more. So full of flavor and crispy and delicious. The staff aren't overly friendly but they weren't rude either. 100% going back here again. Loved it. They should get way more stars lol

Really good authentic mexican food! The portion size was perfect (can fit two people with a smaller appetite). Some of the reviews say the food is microwaved and that is not true. Churros were so good!!

Seriously, what a shame. Price was higher than somewhere like Chipotle for a disgusting plate of β€œfood”. Watched my burrito get put into the microwave for 50 seconds (the middle was cold.), they drenched the top of the burrito in a god awful sweet sauce that was combined with a spicy one that left oil on your lips, not to mention the entire burrito was soggy from the sauce. As another reviewer said, the burrito definitely lives up to its name, with its taste being a monster rather than its size.
