★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good food. My chicken with mango chimichanga, though noticeably smaller than I have had previously at other Mexican Restaurants, was filling and delicious. Liked their salsa and chips (first basket complimentary) and the requested green hot sauce (more a paste consistency) .
Cant wait to visit again. My only dissapointment was the decor. It didnt have the mexican look or flairs of colour from the previous predecessor "Cafe Norte." The decor looked more like a Earls or Nandos west coast bland wood look. Very good attentive service too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this place! I've been here twice and the vibe, staff, food and cocktails both times have been amazing! The aguila cocktail was definitely a stand out, it was tropical but not overpowering with sweetness. Everyone also went wild for the shrimp fundido dip, SO good. If you have room for dessert, get the flan with the perfect burnt caramel flavour! Our server was only on her second shift and she did an amazing job. Thanks Cantina Norte!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for dine out Vancouver. Amazing Mexican food. I was a little disappointed in the ceviche, it tasted bland and the celery overpowered the dish. The chile relleno del dia is to die for... will definitely be coming back just for that!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been here several times and love it. Recently went for lunch for my birthday and had a fantastic meal with equally as good service. Unbeknownst to us, our server was one of the owners. We found out near the end of our meal. Such a delightful lady with a fun sense of humor- she even sang Happy Birthday in Spanish keeping in line with our table mood. I've recommended this restaurant to everyone I know. I've tried almost everything on the menu and I have no complaints about anything. Great ambiance and when outdoor season is here a fantastic patio that's not cut off from either the restaurant or the street. 100% thumbs up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I never have high hopes for Mexican joints this side of the border. I've eaten a lot of tasteless Mexican food in Canada. I'm very happy to have found a gem at Cantina Norte! I tried the Chili Relleno. The Chili was the perfect amount of spice. The cheese filling was so good. The sauce was so flavourful. The rice and beans on the side were some of the best I've ever eaten anywhere. The prickly pear margarita was delightful. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. Our waitress even brought us more dehydrated oranges to munch on. 10/10. Well done.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was exceptional and the service was very friendly. Had the taco salad with chicken without the shell and dressing on the side. With the avocado in the salad there was no requirement to use the dressing as the food was super tasty.
My only issue is the restaurant is cold due to them leaving the door open. Asked them to close it and it warmed up then they opened it again and it got very cold. It is okay to leave the door open but then the heat needs to be turned on. Outside of this it is well worth going for this salad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average food, decent drinks, .exceptional service - oddly that's what stuck on my head. Loved the people who worked there. Not only our server, but everyone was so great. It seemed the whole service team enjoyed working there and it showed in all of their interactions. Did not meet the manager, but obviously doing a great job leading an awesome group of people.
