Worst service ever. I can write a book on the bad customer service they have. Never going back. Tortured me enough to close my account at CIBC.

When you line up here you automatically feel unwelcome. Tellers here sport a scowl instead of a smile. My experience here was awful, and staff only conveyed the sense they didn't want to help you. They will however try to sell you CIBC products despite your concerns. My concerns were left unconsidered & unanswered by the lady that took my question at the counter. After turning me away because I didn't want to buy her CIBC product, I walked away in disbelief. I'm sure there are many CIBC branches out there that do help people, but this is definitely not one of them. Google please enable 0/5 star ratings for places like this.

I have been with cibc for over 8 years now and had the worst customer experience ever today. Went in to the bank to take out $10,400 when the teller told me that I cannot come in to withdraw anything over $5000 with out pre ordering the funds as they don't have $10,000 in the branch. That was fine with me, so I told him I will withdraw the $5000 and ask him if i can still go to other branches to withdraw the rest. He told me with an attitude "yes, go ahead you will have to walk to many branches to get the rest". I gave him my cibc card with my drivers licence in order to take out my funds. He gave me the slip that I have to sign that shows me my balance and the funds coming out. I signed the slip and gave it back. Standing there waiting for a few minutes I figured out what was going on, he didn't believe this was me. He told me my signature wasn't the same as my drivers licence. I told him that's my signature thats how I sign (my picture is on my drivers license). He went back to his manager to show her. At this point I was wondering where is all my hard earned money that I let CIBC hold for me. Now I have the manager and the teller in front of me telling me I have to re-sign because this is not the way I sign. I told them straight, I'm not signing because this is my signature and I would like my money please. I was told straight NO I need to sign the way my drivers licence signature looks. I once again said no and told them I want to take out all my funds because I don't trust them (CIBC). AGAIN I WAS TOLD NO I NEED TO SIGN THE SLIP AGAIN IN ORDER TO WITHDRAW MY MONEY. First thing I was thinking why can't a downtown Toronto bank not have $10,400 on hand. And why was my money that I earned stuck. I would recommend that these 2 employees get retrained on how to treat customers. Think twice before going to this branch to withdraw your hard earned cash! Just transfer your $ to another bank!!

I've used CIBC since I was in high school. They were my first bank and I had credit cards, savings account, checking account, and investments with them. Their financial products were never the best even among the top banks in Canada. They're always the bottom of the barrel in terms of investment return and savings interests. Their cash back credit card is god awful. But I stayed loyal regardless. Just recently they've decided to waive the no monthly fee with minimum deposit benefit for checking accounts. Now they're charging me $4 a month for just having a checking account with them which was the last straw for me. Why on earth would I pay almost $50 a year to do business with you when pretty much every other bank has no fee options, better credit card benefits, and investment options? It's a shame because their online site was really well made. I've moved to another bank that has NO FEES on any accounts (With unlimited transactions) and 3x the cashback value of CIBC's cashback credit card.Definitely would recommend looking elsewhere for personal banking needs!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST! I wish I was warned before moving my accounts to this bank. Especially this branch They literally cut the call on you if you try to book an appointment or for any of needs. I even tried booking online multiple times but they never returned my call or acknowledged My appointments at the branch I don’t think they could be any worse than they are

The investor edge team took advantage of investors over mistakes they hd on their end (service stopped). Cannot really imagine how a β€œbig bank” let their service stops by any chance! Untrustworthy! Their employees aren’t well trained! I am talking from a client who has been 5 years with them. TRUST ME! THE WORST BANK YOU CAN DEAL WITH! V bad exp with: - Lucian (investment) - jude ouellette (investment) - Mona poor - Megan Lengyell NEVER TRUST THEM

I highly recommend requesting the help of Goldie and Jordan at CIBC when it comes to your finances. They are both extremely effective communicators and always respond in a timely manner to any questions or concerns keeping you in the loop at all times and making sure you are 100% comfortable and satisfied with their processes. Thank you for the excellent service!!

I had the most unpleasant experience by a rude woman named Jera. She was unprofessional and simply wouldn't answer my questions. The fact that this organization employees this person is beyond me. I can see why this place has so many negative reviews, should have read them first before I wasted my time here. The morale was so low with all the employees, I mean I spent five minutes there and god forbid I had to go there everyday and have a coworker like Jera. The fact that I am an American and was asked if I voted for Trump had nothing to do with the money I was willing to invest here, when I answered yes she blew a gasket. Politics should be avoided in the workplace, considering this person was from Eastern Europe and her parents had escaped communism to give her a better life.
