Worst bank ever, they charged me 45 dollars on last July and 27 dollars on August and monthly at least 20$. When I started with them about 3 years ago I didn't know how to speak English and they took full advantage of it when they that I'm an Arab student and I receive good money that must be the reason. Wow 47$ charge for one month to use your services WoooooW. Im finally fed up and ready to try something else.

Possibly the worst CIBC branch in Montreal. Opened a account here more than a year ago and the employee who did it ran a credit check with my last name mispelled  (this inspite of me presenting at least 3 pieces of ID). Back then I had no credit history so he opened a file for me with Equifax with my name incorrectly spelled. Took me weeks to correct that with the credit bureau as CIBC themselves wouldn't correct it with Equifax although it was their staff's mistake. The front line staff (esp. the tellers) are some of the most incompetent, untrained and lethargic personnel you'll ever encounter. It would seem that they are trained to say no to any specific request you may have. Just as an example, I wanted a new debit card that had my name printed on it because the original one I was given didn't. I was told they couldn't do it in branch and  that I had to call customer service over the phone to have it done. I mean, what purpose does a branch serve if you go through the trouble of actually going there only to be told that you should call customer service on the phone? Turns out that I was dealing with a new untrained teller who didn't know how to do and didn't want to ask her supervisor. On another occasion I witnessed quite a scene with a furious customer who asked the teller to close all his accounts and products he had with this bank. Incompetent management and staff, rudeness and lack of service is what you should expect here.

Untrained tellers and completely inattentive customer service leads to wasted time and money. Unless you know how to do the job your bank employee is supposedly there to do, all errors will of course be blamed on you, the customer.

Avoid at all cost, this branch is turning into a little banana republic. Was there today and one of the cashiers decided to serve someone in line behind me even though I was standing there waiting for a while before that person came in. Apparently he was the cashier's 'friend'. At least her supervisor called her out on it but what does that say about their hiring and training process if this is the sort of front line people they end up with?

I opened my account at the branch at the beginning of the year, and I requested wire transfer information to make it easier for my family to send money from China. But I didn't expect that my family sent me money last week and I didn't receive it for a long time. I confirmed once again that my account number on the paper they provided me with the wire transfer information was incorrect. I contacted the bank staff after the situation happened, and they shirk responsibility from each other. I promise I will complain

Certainly the worst bank or fair to say at least the worst CIBC branch! I wish there was 0 point in the google review. The employee doesn't engage at all as if you're in a Libre-Service gas station. if there is a problem with anything related to your banking, it can take forever to get a hold of someone, took me over a month to talk to someone. I could reach people a couple times and they both hung up on me in the middle of the call after an hour of waiting and probably 15 mins of conversation. Respect yourself and avoid this branch at all cost!
