β β β β β Got the NYE Dinner from Chubby's and it was SO GOOD! Everything was delish. From the jerk wings, to all the jerk meats, the rice and salads. Every bite was scrumptious. We were thankful that we had leftovers haha we couldn't get enough it. Also have to note how amazing customer service is at Chubby's. NYE was a busy time to have so many orders to push out and I had gone in to pick up my meal and got to see it first hand. The manager came by so many times to assure us that the food would be ready soon, albeit a bit later as there was a bit of a delay but I never saw anyone stop for a second from preparing to packing and delivering. A little delay doesnt matter when you see a kitchen and manager work so tirelessly to make sure your ultimate experience is perfect. And it sure was! Thank you for this amazing dinner and for amazing service.
I was also surprised to receive a note of appreciation from Chubby's today for that order and it completely had me floored. What a wonderful team and restaurant. So happy I ordered. It won't be my last time xx

β β β β β By far the best Jamaican food (so full of flavour) and experience I have had in Toronto. Excellent service, good music, the dinning area is beautiful and reminds you of a tropical oasis in a chill backyard vibe, we were very pleased. Our server was very pleasant too. Recommendations: that I would make is to lower the music just a bit to make conversations easier and also portions could be a bit more. Definitely will be visiting again!!

β β β β β There is a great variety of foods on the menu here. I had been looking for a Jamaican restaurant in downtown, and I found this to be an excellent choice. We tried their seafood and meats and all of them were excellent. Seafood seems to be very expensive and I would replace it with goat curry or bbq chicken next time.

β β β β β Great service! Extremely accommodating to allergies (soy and peanuts in this case). Ordered 2 quarter chickensβ one with the marinade and one without due to the soy allergy, pomegranate kale salad, two rice and beans, two of the coconut passion tarts. And the plantain.
Favourites included:
- rice and beans
- plantain
Jerk chicken was okay but would have maybe enjoyed it more in person instead of at home and reheating it. Passion coconut tart felt a bit dry. Plantain by far was a total hit and favourite. Would definitely order here again. Hot sauce was also divine! Highly recommend it as a side.

β β β β β We had previously tried Chubby's for take out and liked it so we decided to experience the restaurant in full on their patio. The restaurant is quite large and had multiple spaces each with its own ambiance (front patio, back patio, indoor downstairs and indoor upstairs). We opted to sit in the front patio which was brighter than the back patio. We had two mains (half jerk chicken and jerk shrimp) and a bunch of sides (plantains, fried okra, sauteed greens, and fries). The two mains were fantastic and came with a side of slaw which could be substituted with fries. The jerk shrimp came with two skewers of shrimp each with three pieces of shrimp. The plantains were thick pieces (vs slices) and topped with salt flakes. The okra was nice and crispy and came topped with a sweet banana dressing (banana gastrique). The fries were also thick pieces and came dusted in what I think was sweet paprika (?). The seasonal sauteed greens included kale, collard greens, tomato and onions. Overall, a great experience. There is a paid parking lot across the street.

β β β β β This is great spot for Jamaican food. The atmosphere is nice and the cocktails were great! (Especially the Everything Nice)
They gave us SO MUCH sauce free of charge which we really appreciated and the portion sizes were pretty big. I tried the Curry and the Jerk Chicken and while both were tasty, the Jerk didnβt taste too authentic to me. I felt like it couldβve used even more allspice, pepper and cayenne. It just wasnβt as seasoned as I like it. The rest of the meal though was good β the coleslaw was fresh, rice and peas were decent, and the guava pepper sauce was delicious.
Overall, really good spot!

β β β β β The salt fish fritters were my absolute favourite, the plantains were delicious, and the fried okra made me rethink my thought that I'm not a fan of okra. The jerk chicken was moist and flavourful. The jerk pork was spicy and delicious, the collard greens equally spectacular ? Our server, Rose, was joyful, attentive, and just the very best! I didn't get his name but the gentleman who made sure we always had room on our table for all the stuff we ordered was lovely as well. We might've been a bit aggressive on ordering as much as we did but I was glad to get to try a bit of so many things. A taster platter would go over very well IMO. I will be back! I loved it here -- a taste if Island life in the city ?

β β β β β One of my favorite dinners in Toronto was at Chubbyβs.
The interior and the vibe is beautiful. The staff are friendly and our server gave us great recommendations on the menu.
The patties come in 4 different fillings. All were good but the beef was a favorite.
The jerk wings were deliciously flavored - the kinda order that makes the table quiet because everyone is busy with a wing in their mouth ??
Then we tried the Oxtail, which was new to me. Tasted like beef and while the flavor was in my favor, I donβt think the texture is for me. It has a fatty tender texture. Still glad I tried something new ?
And then there was the plantains that I loved a bit too much ?
Overall great experience & Iβd come again. Recommended β
