Chris's No Frills - Edmonton

All cashiers closed at 7:30pm and the supervisor tells us we can't go through self serve with 12 items because we had a cart. Where do you pay? Rude lady, I'd have too seriously think about coming back again.

I have been a frequent customer at this location for about 10 years, until yesterday when I was searched, after paying for my items, by the store manager. I went to get a few things at this location, but because the parking lot lines were being painted I had to park at the back of the lot and this store only has carts near the doors, which is inconvenient. So I used my stroller to haul my 5 month in his car seat and had my 5 year old with me as well. I used a basket to put my items in but needed more space for a bag of potatos and a couple other heavy items. I then went to the self check out till and realized I dropped my bank card somewhere. so I left my items at the front and went to check in my vehicle for the card, couldnt find it so back tracked in the store and found it on the floor, went back to the till and scanned and bagged my items while the store worker watched me. i paid then realized I forgot to buy pop so I went and grabbed a case of pop and went back to self check out and paid for it. As I was leaving, pushing the stroller and carrying all my items a man was following me very close behind and the as I was exiting he forcefully grabs my babys car seat handle and stops the whole stroller and stands in front of it. This startled me and I told him not to touch my baby. He then tells me he is the store manager and he needs to check my bags. Then he went to get a cashier to help him. They checked my receipts and items outside at the exit. I asked them why because I clearly went through check out, twice! he said it is his job, meanwhile other customers are exiting yet he is not bothering them. I was extremely mad and let them know that the way they were treating me was disgusting and embarrassing. After confirming I didn't steal they went back in the store like it was just part of the job. I have never been so offended by a store in my life. I thought it was racial but from reading others similar experiences I think it is just how they run their business. I will definitely be going elsewhere, where I know I will not be harrassed and falsely accussed.

We love more than an hour and a half drive away from Edmonton but we make the drive to shop here. It's the best deals we have found excellent quality and great service. We tell all our friends to shop here!

Great place. This store is very easy to access of 97 st. We have always had easy time to park with many spots. Their produce and fruit selection is always fresh. Their bread is always good too. You have to get early as we had gone late and they sell out. Prices are amazing at this hope with no limits. From front to back this store is amazing. The selection of chips, soda, snacks, coffee, milk ice cream and many other items. It does have a pharmacy. Self checkout is available here if interested

I used to love this store but because of the bad experience I recently had, I believe they deserve one star only. I was shopping at the fresh produced area (mangoes in a box) not sure how many are there in a box. I took 3 mangoes from the other carton not knowing one of the workers is spying on me. She came to me and interrogated that I cannot do that. I told her I am paying whatever extra cost I may have but seems to her that I could not afford it. She was racist at some point and I was told that the cashier anyway would charge me for extra $$$ because of what I did. So why the hell she followed me to wherever I am inside the store and questioned me like I am stealing their freakin mangoes!!!I could not contain my disappointment because of that lady's bad attitude. I hope it won't happen again to me and to other No Frills shoppers in the future. P.S. To the Management of No Frills, please hire a non racial employees in the future and try to screen members that have good judgment and not stereotyping nor prejudicing!!!

Love No Frills. It’s a great place to shop for groceries on a budget. The store is well lit and clean. It’s easily accessible and there is ample parking. This grocery store is good on prices because it has lower overhead by not having a full service bakery and meat shop. That’s okay because saving money is good. This store also has a pharmacy.
