Wonderful, caring and informative respite service. Heartfelt thank you from my family for the time to rejuvenate and plan the next steps in parenting an ODD child.

They were there when I needed so much. They were also very lovely. I definelity can trust them and feel comfortable leaving my children with them in case of emergency.

The people at the cottage are amazing. They genuinely care about the families that use their facilities. My kids love it so much that shortly after a visit they are asking to go again.

My sister used this place for her daughter and it saved her sanity lol now I am hoping to get in but I also understand that there are families that are in greater need than I but I think you for being there and supporting so many Calgary families love you guys keep up the great work

This place appears to be lovely, but under the surface, it is a breeding ground for corruption. I had called and inquired about receiving help various times, but because it wasn’t “crisis” enough, I was refused. So, knowing I wanted to have self care, I’m a single parent with no access to sitters...I called upon the cottage and unfortunately had to make things dramatically worse just to receive support. What they then did was take my information and instead of supporting us, they reported us to children’s services and now, my children are terrified. They used my crisis against me and criminalized the victim. They got the victim punished. They criminalized the victim to such a degree, that now my children and I are RELIVING a trauma, because instead of exchanging proper amounts of words to gather context, people assume children never lie, never see it only from their point and apparently crisis means inability vs reaching for support. I would high NOT recommend this house of disaster and house of corruption and abuse. Did you know if child services wants, they can force the children’s cottage to withhold your children from you? The only organization not affiliated with the government, has MORE POWER than the Canadian Criminal Code, the police and the actual psychological and logic behind child development, trauma and recovery, etc. The cottage is not a safe place for you to seek help. Your kids may have fun, but just remember: abuse or no abuse, CS will be called and you ARE being judged and watched and micromanaged. Protect yourself. Protect your children. DEFUND THE COTTAGE and implement REAL SAFETY for families.

When I lived there in Calgary back in the 90’s I would take my boys there when I was in distress or just felt I could not care for my children that they deserved . I wish and pray we had more all around the world . They are angels from above helping children and parents .
