Today I was so disappointed for the first time at Granville Island Chau to get no extra veggies (but charged for them) and also watery broth. I was told they don't have lemons at the Granville Island location, but I had ordered food delivery once from this location and it did. I brought the food back and asked where extra veggies were and she asked the cook to confirm they were added, who did, so I just walked away. As a loyal customer, this was very dissapintong. Maybe they ran out of kale and lemons...at least say that instead of giving me substandard food.

I chose quinoa as the base, but there are two other options. Also bought the salad roll. Very quick service. Online store sells their sauces, other ingredients and a line of wellness products.

I get it it probably doesn’t make sense to serve food 10 minutes to closing but was confused as to why close so much earlier - you should have a sign up to advise people what your actual last call is.

No fancy displays here and a rudimentary order by number system… but the care of preparation of ingredients and the flavours are on point. Large portion and steaming hot! Perfect for a windy and cold monsoon day in Vancouver. One of the best veggie meals I have ever had…
C	Chloe Rachel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4 stars for the flavour and taste of the food, but would rate the service lower. Ordered the Midnight Swim Bowl ($14.75) and Golden Temple Soup ($16). No complaints about the bowl, good mixture of textures and the spicy peanut garlic soy mushroom sauce had a nice kick. The Golden Temple Soup had a rich flavour that didn't taste diluted. The quality of the veg included was good (kale, broccoli, cauliflower, lotus root), it only included 1 yam and 1 taro piece. Due to a mild allergy and dietary restrictions, I had asked if mushrooms, tofu and bean curd could be substituted for a bit more yam and taro (also included in the item description). They had mentioned they could take the items out but not add more of others, it would be an extra charge if selected. I would understand if it was pre-packaged, but if it was built to order, could it not be possible to substitute even a bit of yam/taro for the left out ingredients? Especially at a higher price point and with the number of tofu included (4+ pieces), to allow a substitution would have been appreciated. I ended up getting the regular order and picked out the ingredients before pouring the soup in. It was nice to try and I do like the GF/V options but wouldn't go out of my way unless I'm in the area.

Being vegetarians, we had many options to choose from which is rare. We loved the food and definitely be ordering from Chau more often.
