D	Doris Pinkerton on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Five years ago I was welcomed to Chartwell Hampton House. The best of the best, there is no doubt! There is music and dancing, Java and hockey clubs and jigsaw galore. Now who could ask for anything more? Oh yes there is choices for meals which is a delight and movies to give you a decent fright. Oh my there is Freaky Friday, more styles to do and where coloring and sparkes to glew. So come to Chartwell Hampton House like I say and you will be delighted to stay.
L	Lois C on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband I came to Hampton House in June 2014. We found it very welcoming. The entire staff was cheerful and helpful. Our ambassador couldn’t do enough to help us adjust to this new Lifestyle. New friends were quickly made. I joined the exercise class and other activities very soon. Before I knew it, I became an ambassador which I continue to enjoy. My husbands health gradually deteriorated and in September 2015 and was admitted to hospital. Sadly, in April 2015 he passed. Hampton House support helped me to adjust to another life change. The staff and management are cheerful, caring and supportive. During Covid 19 they did an excellent job to ensure the residents safety and health. They continue to do their upmost to keep everyone satisfied, safe and secure. Tracey McDonalds creativity and enthusiasm certainly make Hampton House a happy place to live. Tracey has a variety of activities organized and encourages residents to participate. She is patient and always ready to acknowledge effort made by a resident. Tracey is receptive to suggestions and ideas from residents. I call her “Spark Plug” of Hampton House. Many good friendships have evolved and I’ve learned to play bridge! Anyone looking for an independent living place, Hampton House is the spot!
H	Helen Rykuiter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was advised by people saying that after your husband passes, don’t make any rash decisions or big decisions. Wait 1-2 years which I did. Then between my son, sister and myself, we started to look at retirement living. From White Rock to Chilliwack my son took me out for several days in the afternoons to look for places and I kinda liked Hampton House. I went back a week later with my whole family, which was a Thursday. There was live music and people drinking wine. It was just a good atmosphere. I said to my son “This is it, son. I’m not going to look at any other places”. He said “I’m happy for you mom and you are right!” This was 6 years ago and the place feels like home.
D	Don D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had visited a seniors facility years ago as a member of the federal civil service of retired employees. We had been invited as a group to lunch for a tour of the facilities. The lunch was terrible and their facilities did not impress me at all. After my wife passed away I received a card in the mail from Hampton House. They invited me to phone come for a visit to see their facilities, which I promptly did. I took my sister-in-law and another friend along. I cant explain why but the minute I walked in the door, I was greeted by staff, and fell in love with the place and I still do to this day! All the staff from top to bottom have went out of their way to that you were well looked after and treated you like a person and not just a body. The food was excellent and I even ate some fish that I had never done before. I now eat them when ever they come up on the menu. On the day of my visit, I was shown all the programs and facilities and found there was plenty of everything so that your options were wide and varied. Many facilities outside the building (stores, banks, malls, hospital, etc.) were all in close proximity. Even two facilities (hearing and pharmacy) as retail units below.

They treat the residents with great respect and truly care about each and every one of them. There's always activities going on for every6to enjoy. I would recommend Hampton House to anyone wanting to live in a retirement home.
V	Vern Drader on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After 16 years of independent living I give Chartwell Hampton House a 5 star rating. Have lived in 3 different Chartwell homes. Had it not been been for my wife at one point requiring an Assisted Living home we would have spent the 16 years at a Chartwell. There have been no regrets! We moved when we could make our own decision. Without family saying 'Ok, dad and mom, its time to move'. For seniors to move it just gets more difficult each year. Some will say 'I cant get my furniture to fit in a smaller home' I say 'Get rid, its just stuff!' Places like salvation army would appreciate it. Now is a great time to sell your home as real estate prices are at an all time high. Put pencil to paper, you can live in Hampton House cheaper then in your own home. We moved at 75 years old, with good health and could fit in with all activities and outings. Do the math, I'm 91 and credit my age to healthy lifestyle to Hampton House. Because I'm happy with great care and attention from management, staff and residents. Why would I want to live elsewhere? Oh yes, pharmacy and ear specialist are also here in Hampton House.
B	Bill Watts on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As I began to explore a retirement residence, I took a tour of Hampton House. I knew almost instantly that it would become my home. It felt welcoming in comparison to other places I visited. The staff greeted me immediately; I felt like V.I.P. I moved to Hampton House in September 2014. I was lonely and unhealthy before moving into Hampton. I am anything but now. I whole heartedly embraced my new lifestyle. Take breakfast every morning with friends, where we like to tell jokes and enjoy exercise classes, Happy Hours and organized bus trips. I cherish time with the boys at the Men’s Club too. When staff introduced “Freaky Friday” themed days during the height of the pandemic to keep spirits up I also took to creating exciting costumes to don each week, encouraging my fellow residents to join in the fun. Tracey, Lifestyle and Programs Manager would say “ I am living life to the fullest now” Expect to meet perfect strangers and become friends. You’ll feel safe here, both in your suite and the home in general. I never feel out of place. We’re all here to be supported and the staff is here for us. Living at my residence is like getting a second family.
N	Norman Johnston on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where to start! The things I love about Hampton House are: The friendships you make with the residents. The care and the concern that the staff have for you. They go way beyond to make sure that you feel comfortable here. There is no need for seniors to have stress of getting groceries, meals, paying taxes. Really, everything that comes from owning your own home, it’s all pretty much looked after here. For residents who experience mobility issues and maybe loose their drivers license or ability to drive, this is a place you can feel comfortable again and not have to depend on everybody. I am also so very impressed with the facility. It is very well looked after and maintained. Housekeeping is done once a week where your room is completely cleaned, bedding washed and re made. We are so close to South Gate mall and the hospital which are all within easy walking distance. Lastly, the activities are taking place all the time from entertainment to hockey nights, card games and more. A person can be as social as they want to be or as private as they want to be. The living room is especially nice to socialize or sit back and relax.
