This place has always been so amazing and we love visiting this location. However today, I bought a gift and the girl (Tristen) on the wrapping counter was extremely unprofessional. She first cut the gift paper / sheets two times and threw away because they were small (and torn the both times). She either doesn't know how to use the sheet cutter or it's all about her carelessness and unprofessionalism. She literally had no clue about the measurements either. I don't know if she was unwilling to wrap any gifts today or it was something to do with our skin color? Anyway, on her third, yet another careless attempt, she again tore a good big corner of the paper and started wrapping as is. I did wait for a while because I was expecting her to cut that torn strip and then use the remaining sheet. But, she continued with the tap. I tried to stop her politely that if she can please remove this torn part. She refused to do it and said "I am going to fold from the other side, so there will be no paper left." I requested again that please try cutting that corner with a scissors and then see. (BTW, there was a lot of paper on the other side!!!) She said the same thing again to the point where me and my husband felt so awkward. I remember how nice and warm wrapping girls this place used to have. They would greet warmly and never wrap a gift with a torn sheet. They also used to provide options for choosing the wrapping paper. For Tristen, taking another sheet shouldn't have been a problem because I noticed how carelessly she cut two sheets before and threw them away. I am giving one star to Tristen only, not to this location because we love their staff and other members. Hopefully this review is being read. Time for me to get up and throw away the torn sheet because gifting someone like that is inappropriate and improper.

Even though I didn't buy anything, walking around here makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. I love looking at all the new books and journals

I love coming to this location, knowledgeable staff who are fast and friendly. I went in today with a lot of questions for Journaling for kids and the staff member that helped me stuck with me, answered all my questions and showed me some other ideas. I left feeling confident in my purchase.

I love books so it made my heart happy to see so many in one place. They had all my favorite genres and series. I would definitely come here again for book shopping

Not the Best Chapters in the city: They don't feel like working, so they do the bare minimum. Double check everything you every buy here. - If the website says, it's in the store; unless there are allot it won't be here but the Chinook and Cross Iron locations; will have the "one left". - Cashiers don't really listen to you; so there's usually a problem you'll notice on your receipt: wrong order, too many, not on sale, noting going to your home, going to the wrong Chapter's location, etc. - Cashiers always trying to sell you something when you're looking for an item - If you buy a fashion item, the always for get to remove the anti-theft chip. - Hang up the phone. when you call looking for a specific item - Putting something on hold, they will waste your time; either on the phone or they didn't actually put it on hold: even if you follow Chapters' policies - Debit it card refunds come days later; so you have to set a reminder or get cash beforehand - If your store Order or Online order is delay; they always tell you to call the customer service; but then the customer service tell you that you have to go back to the store, then they help you properly. When I call them: "The store should have..." The people on the floor, are why this review doesn't have a 1 star, depending on who helps you, it can be: - That one guy who never says a word to you but follows you; when you seem like you're looking for something. Then only you have to ask him for help. (I understand social anxiety; but that's really creepy, I'm a person too). - Some staff, do a good job at direct you but are a bit awkward (so am I :). - Some staff, just see you need help but then just don't want to help you. (They will stare at you the entire time, across from the store; but never offer you help when you get closer to them). Overall: They don't feel like working, so they do the bare minimum. Double check everything you every buy here. If your order is very time sensitive; buy it through Amazon; your son's book report doesn't wait for people who don't want to work.
