About Chapter1 Daycare and Preschool
Chapter1 Daycare provides a program to allow your child develop a love for independence, learning, self-control and positive interaction with their peers. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very well managed daycare even with the COVID-situation. My son loves going there. They do a lot of exercise and creative activities, and he also got to try out gymnastics. They also do some structured learning to prepare them for kindergarten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When we first put our daughter into the daycare on the form we noted that she can not have any dairy at all. The daycare failed multiple times of not giving our daughter dairy free food. Abi the manager told us that our daughter “had medical concerns that remained undiagnosed and the source is undetermined” even though we went to our family doctor and as well as a allergy specialist and got told our daughter is allergic to dairy products. They give you a daily report card of what your kid ate that day, and there were multiple times where she has food with dairy in it, and the last straw they wrote “birthday cake”. When our daughter is home she constantly has an upset stomach and is puking all night/is up. When we questioned about this they told us the giver wrote that by accident. The way they handled themselves is beyond disgusting and I would second think about putting your child here if they have any dietary restrictions or allergies. Apparently going to a doctor and allergists is not enough of a viable source to determine our daughter can’t have dairy according to Abi. When they were questioned about the food they were giving to my daughter they sent my wife an email to advise us that they don’t want to take care of my daughter anymore and find a new place for my daughter. Their fault for not providing the care my daughter needs and now my daughter is paying for it. To me that answers the questions we had on daycare giving my child food with dairy products.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My child loves Chapter1. The daycare is well managed, clean, and has FANTASTIC caring teachers. They also get to participate in a cool Acrotykes program, which my child loves. Daily crafts (taking over my walls at home haha) outside play: weather permitting, active time and so much more. My child is learning lots and I couldn't he happier. Happy kid, happy mum. Great location with lots of parking too. They have also handled the whole COVID situation extremely well. Thanks to all the teachers who provide our kiddies with the guidance and support they need to learn and thrive! Cheers

Not only are my kids excited to attend every morning, I am confident that they will both be more than ready for Kindergarten when ready to attend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son has gone to chapter 1 for 4 years now (He’s just about to transition to kindergarten). Chapter 1 has been so supportive to me as a solo parent, when I lost my job, through the ups and downs of having a very active, never stopping, competitive son, and throughout covid. He has always liked his ‘teachers’ and he has learned so much (including a bit of Spanish, French and sign language). I highly recommend this daycare and don’t think that you will be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Both of our children have attended Chapter1 Daycare at both locations over the years; most recently our youngest has been going to the Royal Oak location and he absolutely loves his time there—he frequently asks to go to school on the weekends. The kids do lots of activities and crafts everyday, they spend time outside (weather permitting) and being active, and learning lots of songs, ABC’s, etc. The teachers, staff and management are all very kind, communicative, and engaged. They have done an amazing job keeping the children safe and protected throughout the COVID pandemic craziness. Your kids will definitely be in good hands at Chapter1!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son switched from a dayhome to Chapter1 Daycare after his third birthday. The improvement we saw in his learning was almost immediate. He is very fond of all the teachers and care providers and looks forward to going to preschool each morning. He surprises us everyday with new facts, words (mandarin), skills and abilities. We are so proud of his progress and feel extremely confident sending him to kindergarten next year. Thank you to the whole team who takes such excellent care of our son.

The food is prepared in the daycare everyday, the installations are clean and organized and the kids are grouped according to their ages. We enjoy seen the crafts that our kids are making daily. We recommend the daycare for any new family looking for options in the area.
