quaint, cozy and otherworldly charming. exceptional amount of detail in decor, practices and tea-- so much so that it hits like a tranquilizer; overwhelming the senses in its minutiae idiosyncrasies. i almost fell asleep! the cafe is dreamlike tranquility, vague and precise, like a lucid dream. therefore, it can be good for working, studying and channeling creativity. 5/5.

Amazing tea selection. We ask the owner to select one for us and we were not disappoint. Snacks available we had the mochi with sweet beans and the vegetable and rice bowl

Super cozy japanese cafe run just by one super kind and humble japanese lady. You have to put down the shoes right behind the door and you get the feeling like you just entered someones living room and kitchen at the same time. You can watch everything being prepared right in front of you. You can get various tees, matcha, dessert and food like miso soup or japanese risoto. Dessert were delightful, we enjoyed it very much. Thank you for this oasis of peace in the middle of rushy city. If we were locals we would definitely stop by again.

Amazing Japanese tea salon with two full pages of teas and Japanese desserts selection. Warm and relaxing home atmosphere, with tea discovery session. You can easily spend hours there.

A very nice location with probably the best owner ever. She's very nice and really personalize her service. The location is both a store and a tea house. However it is pretty small so only small groups of people can be inside at a time.

What a fantastic selection of tea, I really enjoy everything about going to this tea shop. Not only are the teas delicious but the store owner knows so much about every tea that she owns. It's so interesting to talk to her to learn about where the teas were harvested, what families own the tea plantations and for how long, what regions they're from in Japan and how that contributes to the taste and cultivation. If you already have an idea of what kind of teas you like make sure to ask her for recommendations! I have also had the pleasure of going to one of her monthly brunches that she will have from time to time. It was a "Cabane Ă  Sucre" theme with a Japanese twist and every part of the meal was so well thought out. Before each serving she would tell us why she prepared the dish and what her inspiration for each plate was. I would highly recommend signing up for one if you can get a spot!

Hello Japan! This teahouse offers a degustation experience you can book in advance and the tea offer is very diverse. Of course the quality is high and you will feel like you're just entered a small shop in a small street of Kyoto. It's worth having a look!
