About Centre Street Dental Clinic
Our Story
Centre Street Dental was established by Dr. Barry Lee in 1986 when he saw a need for a dental office in Calgary’s historic Chinatown. Dr. Barry Lee believed in doing affordable, honest, responsible, quality and gentle dentistry. The same principles which we practice by today.
As the dental clinic grew Dr. Barry felt the need to give back to the community. He volunteered at CUPS (Calgary Urban Project Society) and brought his daughter along with him to help. His daughter was inspired by the impact that dentistry can have on a person’s quality of life and self confidence. She, too, decided to get into the dental profession by becoming a Dental Hygienist in 2007 and, in 2013 she joined Barry as an Associate Dentist, and later as a Partner. In 2016, Barry’s niece, Brianna also joined Centre Street Dental as a Dental Hygienist. This was the beginning of our famiLee practice. With all the new additions to the clinic we outgrew our small 3 room clinic and we moved to our current new and renovated space in 2017. We have now been joined by our skilled associates Dr. Lan H Phan, Dr. Eric Tang, and Dr. Belinda Le.
Together, we are grateful and proud to serve our community, the downtown area, and our loyal patients who travel into downtown to see us. Our focus is on patient relationships, patient education, and, as always, providing honest, gentle, and high quality treatment to all of our patients, both existing and new.

Van you were amazing getting my X-ray done then being a knowledgeable and super talented assistant. Dr Sam was outstanding!! She is without a doubt the one of the nicest , kind and humorous Health Care Professionals I have ever met. She was very innovative patching my smile back in place . She was optimistic that I didnβt need to practice singing ββ All I want for Christmas is my two front teethββ just yet. You are a great team there at Centre Street . The pain was totally gone within a 24 hour period without the need to take antibiotics.

We cannot speak highly enough of her office and detail to care. She listens, provides exceptional dental care, and takes the time to educate and ensure her patients are comfortable. The rest of the team also provide the same level of care.

β β β β β My 10 years old son got his two teeth removed today by Dr. Eric Tang. My son was very anxious and concerned. Dr. Tang took the time to explain every step and comforted him as procedure goes. The entire experience are very impressive. My entire family are all well taken care of by the entire team as well. Highly recommend!

β β β β β I havenβt been to a dentist for a long time and was a bit agitated, all the staffs at the clinic (from Iris and Maggie at reception to Erin, Sheena and Dr. Lee) are all welcoming and friendly, which made me much more at ease and surprisingly enjoyable experiences to a dental clinic! Iβve never done scaling before, Sheena made me feel as comfortable as possible. Sheβs patient and I like the analogies she uses when explaining things, which make it much more convincing and easier to remember =) Highly recommended!

Front staffs are always ready to help and try their best to find you out. All the dentists there are always accommodating and attentive as well.
