Overall pretty poor experience for Morty's first cut. Clipped his bits too close and he had cuts all over them. Did not do his legs or top of the head at all, so it looks like he's wearing snow pants now. The cut took all day. He got a pretty bad case of kennel cough two days later. Was licking his cuts for days after and it started to get infected. I asked how everything went when I picked him up and all I got was "he was well behaved". Not very personable. It's too bad, as I was also considering using Central Bark as a daycare when I start going back to the office in the next few months.

Awesome grooming facility. Highly recommend!! I brought in my 12 year old poodle for a full groom and she came out fresh and adorable... but it was the compassion and care Misty and Sam showed my 16 year old maltese that floored me. Chowder has CHF and is nearing the end of his life. His mobility is also declining and I was concerned that he couldn't handle a groom (though he desperately needed it). A groom is for the dog, sure, but there's also a human component when entrusting your beloved pet to someone. These wonderful professionals broke his groom into two mini-sessions and literally held him throughout his appointment to minimize stress and pressure on his joints. He can now live out his days in matt-free comfort. These women helped ease my sorrow of losing Chowder with their compassion, understanding, and incredible care of my 2 senior dogs. I will forever be a fan of Central Bark.

It took 5 hours to β€œgroom” a 4 lb. dog. It was a terrible cut with visible mats still on her. Then she spent the rest of the day and night scratching and licking until I gave her a bath again. This has never happened before and she is 8 years old. Her nails were so short it looked like they had been bleeding and had been treated with some kind of metal-like substance. We’ll never never go back!!!

I send our dog to daycare and she also gets nail trims and baths she loves it there. I take her for play and exercise. Some of the other negative comments about how their dogs were treated or what happened I think are a bit dramatic. like the kennel cough one omg since I had my pet she has had it a few times and we were only at a park before we started coming regularly. I am a new dog owner, you have to remember they are not humans they are animals, and I have told staff if my dog acts up or needs to be kenneled for a bit or even called to come get me then yes do so. I enjoy the staff they let me know how her day went when they have time its very busy there and I don't know how they can handle so many of them at once even 3 dogs for me is enough. Kudos to the staff there for looking after all of them.

100% do not ever recommend anyone to ever place their dog in their care. I brought my dog here for daycare for about two weeks, before deciding to discontinue. They did not listen to my wishes and gave my dog a very bad kennel cough. At first it was okay, the staff seemed friendly and eager to meet new dogs. They posted super cute photos of all the dogs playing together on their Instagram and everything seemed fine. First off, my dog got kennel cough from this facility. When I took my dog to the vet, she informed me that the staff should’ve been contacting all of the dog owners, as well as shutting down the daycare and sanitizing everything in the building because kennel cough is very contagious. They did not do either of these things and continue to operate. I have heard of many people’s dogs continuing to get kennel cough from this business. Secondly, they refused to do a grooming service on my dog, stating that he was raging with aggression, and could not have his nails trimmed or be brushed out. I assume because he’s a large dog? Thirdly. One day, my boyfriend called me at work and stated that my dog had gotten in trouble at daycare and that they did not want my dog to come back until we were able to β€œcurb his aggressive behaviour”. I believe that they mistook my dog’s anxious tendencies for aggression. When I first listed him under their care, I made sure to tell them he was a very anxious dog. I specifically asked them not to put my dog in a kennel or isolate him in any circumstances because he is known to hurt himself when kennelled and has very bad separation anxiety. My dog came home shaking and had badly injured his leg and his face, and later developed kennel cough. I spoke to the trainer there and found out that they had been isolating my dog and kennelling him alone for about a week without my knowledge or my consent.

I live in a remote community with a team of pet/sled dogs that I use in a school dog-sled program. This winter I wanted to run my dogs with friends in Birds Hill park, and then spend the night in Winnipeg. I boarded my team with Central Bark. Their East St. Paul location couldn't be any more conveniently located, their price was fair, and they accommodated my unpredictable schedule. I trust them100% with my team, and will look forward to more dog sledding in Birds Hill par next winter, now that I know I can spend the night, and my dogs will be well cared for. Thanks Central Bark!
