About Centennial Conservatory

Most Provincial Offence charges result in out-of-court payments. Citizens who are issued Provincial Offence tickets should read them carefully for a complete list of their payment and trial options.

Option 1, Plea of Guilty - Payment Out of Court

By choosing this option, you are stating that you are guilty and you must pay the total payable at the bottom of your ticket. You can pay the fine either in person or by mail at any Provincial Offences Court location in the Province of Ontario. Cheques should be made payable to the City of Thunder Bay.

Option 2, Plead Guilty with Submission as to Penalty

By choosing this option, which is also known as a "walk-in plea of guilty," you are stating that you are guilty but will provide submission as to penalty (ability to pay fine or more time to pay). You must attend the Provincial Offences Court office indicated on your ticket. Please bring your offence notice with you.

Option 3, Trial Option (Not guilty)

If you wish to plead not guilty you must sign your name under Option 3 on the back of the ticket as well as note any change to your address. You can either mail it or drop it off at the Provincial Offences Court office indicated on the back of your ticket (blue copy). You will receive a Notice of Trial in the mail in the next few weeks after we receive your request. If you do not receive a Notice of Trial in 3-4 weeks, contact the Provincial Offences Court office to confirm the status.

NOTE:  You have 15 days from receipt of an offence notice to exercise one of the above noted options.  If you fail to respond you will be deemed not to dispute the charge.

A hidden jewel of Thunder Bay! Delightful visits into the conservatory brings you up close to beautiful flora from various countries around the world and locally. Walking paths with a variety to see and benches for stopping and enjoying the views. It's a small but mighty conservatory - a great place to visit, to relax, to see the proof that true beauty always grows from within.

It is a beautiful little place. Coming from a tropical country, it was just fun to see a lot of familiar plants and trees inside. It is free but you could leave a donation in a donation box right in the entrance. The tropical plants are nothing new to us but the different cactus that they have are very new for us but that side was close and we didn’t get the chance to see them up close.

A peaceful place filled with unique flowers, bushes and trees. Bring a book on a cold winter day; enjoy a cup of tea under the lemon tree; check out the newest blooming flowers. Each week brings new things to discover. I just hope the city finally sees its value and brings it back to its glory days. Open up the cactus room, add a coffee shop or gallery store...fix the road so that the elderly from Hogarth can be wheeled over safely.

Absolutely love this place! It may seem small, but there's a huge variety of unique and interesting plants to see. The cactus gardens were closed to the public during my visit in January 2020 due to a structural issue with the glass ceiling, but the view from the entryway is certainly worth checking out.

This an amazing place to go and get out of the snow for a few minutes. My daughter loves it and I know a lot of other parents with littles enjoy coming here in the winter. I can’t wait for the renovations!

Great plans and trees, but it would be better if the whole greenhouses were open. Spent 10-15 minutes ????
